Decent spot with convenient hours, one of the few places open on a Sunday. The flavour of the butter chicken and lamb paneer were great, but I felt the naan was quite oily and thick texture instead of the usual crispiness. I also found the portions sizes to be quite small for what you pay for.nnThe drinks were tasty, but I was suspicious of a very low alcohol content. Our table server was polite and checked in with us, but I found the hostess a little dismissive and unfriendly.
Within downtown and close to the visitor centre. Friendly service and excellent food!nnWe ordered for masala chai, chicken tikka platter, butter chicken mini meal. Flavors are wonderfully blended to give a richntqste of authentic indian food.nnChoose mild if your not used to spice however if you can handle it medium is good.nnThe chai isbgiven in a large tea cup which i was not expecting but readily happy to have as we are always used to tiny cups. Flavor of the chai in this cold weather made it even more delicious.nnTry the blue mojito was very good!!nnStaff were friendly attentive and service was quick too. Meals were fresh hot and delectable.nnHighly recommend.
I ordered the butter chicken curry, lemon garlic shrimp, garlic naan, and plain naan not on the menu. The butter chicken was so good and the garlic naan was especially amazing—seriously, so delicious! I only wish this weren’t my last meal here in Yellowknife !nThe lemon garlic shrimp wasn’t quite the dish I had imagined, though. but was ok.nThey ask you to choose the spice level from 1 to 5, and level 3 would probably feel just mildly spicy for Koreans.
The butter chicken, mango chicken, and the one in the middle whose name I can’t remember were all delicious. Each of the three curries had its own distinct and unique flavor, which I really enjoyed. The mango chicken in particular was sweet yet light and refreshing—I had never experienced a flavor like that before. I’d definitely love to visit again!
This is a comfortable place in Yellowknife. During our 3 days stay in the town, we visited this restaurant every daynEvery food tastes good, and especially we loved Fish Frittersfish was really tender and delicious, Indo-Chinese Fried Ricewe felt a bit chili-hotter than other dishes and Faloodagood taste with rose flavor. The gravy of Chicken Changezi is also tasty with creamy and deep flavor.nThe drink menu is nice too.
