Blue Sky Supermarket

About

Dedicated to fresh, quality groceries and absolute customer satisfaction, Blue Sky keeps our customers coming back for more.

Story

Blue Sky Corporation was founded in 1999, starting out as a small family-run business, specializing in grocery retail and Asian cuisine. By 2007, Blue Sky had opened their first supermarket in North York, inspired by the growing diversity in Canada, and offered a large range of products needed for ethnic cuisines.
Blue Sky North York had found great success and opened their second store in the City of Pickering. To satisfy the increasing demand for Asian groceries, Blue Sky Pickering carries an even broader selection of Asian groceries.

There were many places that offer ethnic groceries, but what had set Blue Sky above the rest is their commitment to provide comfort to new Canadians, allowing them to feel at home even half way across the world.

Dedicated to fresh, quality groceries and absolute customer satisfaction, Blue Sky keeps their customers coming back for more.

Wide variety of quality everyday items, great prices and conveniently located by the 401. The staff was nice but a bit stiff. A bit of courtesy, friendliness and approachability would enhance customers' shopping experience and would generate more sales. Visited and shopped for the first time on our way to Ottawa.

This is an Asian grocery store. It has a lot of variety. Lots of Caribbean foods and amazing sales. The problem I have and why I did not give it a 5 star is it is difficult to find someone to help due to a language barrier. Also, the package everything. For example, you can't find a single pepper. Only 3 pack. What if I don't need 3 peppers. I end up having to go to another store.

The most disgusting meat ever. Please, for the love of God do not make the same mistake we made. My mom and I purchased $100+ of their "lean ground beef". The butcher was going on and on about how fresh the meat was. There was a lot of meat on display (who knows how long it was sitting there). I brought it home and cooked half of the meat for a family gathering. I was so embarrassed. The meat smelled Foul. Not only did the meat look like it had gone bad, but it reeked of lamb fat. We cook with all types of meat so we know when something smells off. I cannot believe this is what they serve to their customers. This isn't just me, my family and friends have complained about the meat as well. Never going back there again.

Blue Sky carries a wide selection of food from all backgrounds so that when people immigrate to Canada they can easily find what they need. The butcher is good, and they have all the sauces you need to cook foreign dishes. There's also a hot food area which is very well priced, and a bakery. For Canadian food staples the prices are more competitive elsewhere, but this is the best for meats and anything that's hard to find in Canada.

The place has a lot great food items. However, there is almost no English speaking person who can help you. All they can say is, no English. At least the cashier should be able to speak English.
