This place is such a wonderful part of our community! The food here never disappoints! Our favorite are their steak and/or chicken fajitas. But recently, I tried their new menu item, the Bourbon grilled salmon. I forgot to take pictures of my entree while at the restaurant so I am providing my leftovers pictures. Which I added my own sautéed baby cauliflower. Their cilantro lime rice is always a hit and the curried carrots were so delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly! Oh and make sure you get extra bourbon glaze sauce. Samantha/Bartender is absolutely the. best! Thanks Blue Heron and as always, we’ll be back!
Blue Heron Grill is one of the best bar/grills in our area Lino Lakes, Hugo. Super friendly staff, great with kids, welcoming, wonderful atmosphere, and excellent menu. Every single thing we've eaten there has been outstanding. We've never had to wait to eat there, either. I was happy to see they have 3 NA options, and would love to see more options I have many friends who would visit and support businesses on this premise, alone. Keep it up! Highly recommended visit. We will be back often we are new residents in the area.
Food was really good here. Drinks had a respectable pour. I thought the $42 16oz porterhouse was a bit overpriced but the food is well prepared and the service is friendly. Will come back!
Any place that has pulled pork on a burger is a winner in my book. Excellent food, excellent service. A place you should check out.
I was surprised that I didn't love this place. There is so much potential. The atmosphere was wonderful but the food was less than impressive.. and our waitress, while being kind and attentive, was just.. "too much". She tried way too hard to be friendly and I liked her but her overuse of calling us "honey" was a little annoying. I'm not usually annoyed by it, and I know some people who absolutely hate it.. and once or twice would have been fine.. but it was probably closer to 20 times. I swear, she added it to the end of every sentence lol! "Sure thing, honey!" "Absolutely, honey!" "You got it, honey!" But again, she was super nice and served very well. So now the food.. my biggest gripe.. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. No idea what I got but it definitely didn't have buffalo on it at all. The fries were good, so I ate those while I waited for a side of buffalo sauce. The chicken in the wrap was pretty dry. My sister got some sandwich with soup and salad. Her sandwich looked good but she didn't finish it, saying it was dry and didn't have much flavor. Her salad was basically just a lazy pile of iceberg lettuce, which was funny cause the waitress said their salads were made of "the good lettuce". Anyways, I think she liked the soup. The food wasn't bad... but for the price and what you would expect from the atmosphere, it's very underwhelming and a bit disappointing. Going out to eat isn't cheap these days and when I go out, I want to feel like I got my money's worth or at least got what I paid for.. Definitely not the feeling I got when I left here. Bummer.. they had some seasonal drink called "winter delight" which was wonderful. Expensive for the amount you get, but I didn't mind so much being that it was good.
Went for brunch with a group of 14. We had a reservation. We were seated promptly and our server Monica I think was on her game. The brunch menu is fairly limited but a decent selection. I had the Mexican omelette and my wife had ham and cheese. Both were prepared well and very good. Everyone was happy with the food. We have also eaten dinner here several times and the vibe and food are always good. The patio in the summer is nice as well. Prices are in line and it is clean and inviting.
I order 2 time already for the take out. The first time was pretty good as I order the bone in wing Cajun dry rub, spaghetti, and onion ring. The wing was pretty good, fresh. Spaghetti is so so for me as noodle is not cook well at all, texture feel uncooked, but the onion ring was good with the outside crush crispy. forgot to take picture The 2nd time picture below I order the grill cheese, cheese burgers, French fried, Tot and Onion ring. Cheese burger is ok, the grill cheese is pretty good. French fried was not warm and soggy and tot was not warm too. What hit me the most is the onion ring. As it doesn’t taste good at all. The outside isn’t crunchy like the first time I order. I feel like they change the batter and this is old onion ring or something. It was soggy and so much oil as it look like refried again. I’m really disappointed this time. Will try the third time and see if I should continue to go there.
I love their food. I have had the quessidias, chimmicumga, and salads. The reason I put 4 stars is I did a to go order for fajitas. I finally found the tortillas and they were soggy with the meats grease. See picture. I would suggest not to put the tortillas in with the meat. I thought this would be a given. For the price I would thought there would be more meat. It was mostly peppers and onions with some chicken. Will not get this again.
The service was terrific. The menu had a decent selection of options, which were reasonably priced. I was there for lunch with a friend and had the wild rice soup and hot turkey sandwich combine. My meal was the perfect size for a lighter appetite and very tasty.
Met with family for a Sunday brunch, very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food and prices were good, they lose a star because the mini cinnamon rolls were undercooked on the bottom think raw dough, and the eggs were all overdone. Over easy and up were more like medium yolks and all had a crunchy bottom - unexpected. We had a nice variety of food - chicken fried steak, tex mex skillet, biscuits and gravy, and a combo. The gravy was excellent!
