When you first arrive you will notice this place is very small. The museum is tiny, but the staff is very knowledgeable. Walk down to beach and look for a few fossils. They are easy to find.

Small dirt parking lot leads to barn like building. Host is clearly into fossils and you can take a good look around in 10 or 20min. The beach (small rocky shale) however is beautiful people fishing etc and the kids will have fun rock hunting. There is an outhouse but no paper so be warned.

Chris and Sonja are some of the most knowledgable people regarding fossils dating back to some of the first tetrapods! They recently partnered with Harvard to continue fossil discoveries, but Chris and Sonja themselves have uncovered over 90 thousand pounds of fossilized tracks, bones, and footprints. Even after all of this, the beach is still covered with them! Chris went down to the beach with us and showed us the differences in fossils and rocks, and never stopped teaching us new things. Please, please visit these wonderful people. They have so much to teach you!

A hidden gem and definitely worth the visit. We are glad we elected to visit versus similar attractions in Sidney or at Jiggins. Chris and Joanne are awesome and extremely knowledgeable. We learned a lot about paleontology and anthropology and the local concerns about the habitat. They keep the museum going on donation basis. The beach and first hand look at fossils in situ are amazing.
