We are Dr. Kathleen O’Hara and Dr. Lynette Nissen and we are pleased to welcome you to Bloor-Avenue Chiropractic. We are conveniently located in the Doctor's Building at Bloor and Avenue Road in downtown Toronto, steps away from three subway stops.
As chiropractors we offer both relief and wellness care; we utilize numerous muscle techniques and gentle chiropractic adjustments, both manual and instrument-assisted. Our multi-disciplinary downtown Toronto practice was established in 1988.
Many patients begin care in our office with a specific health concern and then realize that chiropractic is all about optimal health…how to get well faster and stay well!

I have been seeing Dr Nissen at this clinic for a few years now. She is simply put the most talented and knowledgeable chiropractor I have ever met and I saw quite a few before luckily landing in her practice. The entire staff at the office is superb, welcoming, friendly and incredibly professional at the same time.
I have been to several Chiropractic clinics in the city! None of which have compared to this clinic. I have been a very loyal client of the Most Dynamic Chiro Duo for 15 years! Cherle is always sweet, helpful and kind and Dr. Rankin has an impeccable Skill of Healing! My hubby reiterates this by saying “ Meeting him has been a life changing experience!” He never believed in Chiropractic Tx prior to meeting Paul We will forever be grateful for being able to get cracked back into alignment monthly by the Best in the Biz! I definitely recommend anyone with chronic back pain to see for themselves how the Most Wonderful Chiropractic Team in Toronto can help them too!

I saw Dr. Nissen for hip and back issues several years ago and I was amazed at how thorough she was, and how well she explained everything to me. I just returned to her today after several years, and she diagnosed my issue and relieved the pain I was in. She was kind and as thorough as ever. I am excited to have her knowledge and compassionate care to guide me back to back-health. Highly recommended.
The doctors and office personnel are attentive, professional, accommodating and friendly. Their new office space is accessible, bright and welcoming. I rarely have to wait more than a moment or so beyond my appointment time - which is a gift in itself to a working person. So glad I found Bloor Avenue Chiropractic. They've got my back!
Dr. Rankin and the team at Bloor-Avenue Chiropractic have always provided me with great care! I’ve been seeing Dr. Rankin for a few years now and he is always very thorough with his examinations and treatments.
I have been having issues with my shoulder for a few years now and haven't really found anyone who can help with the pain long term. I recently came across this clinic and SO HAPPY I DID! It's a nice environment and I saw Courtney who is a Registered Massage Therapist. I have seen her about 4 times now and After the first treatment I felt a whole lot of relief, and not just for that day. She also offered me acupuncture and applied a sports injury tape to help heal which I was instructed to leave on for a few days. She is very knowledgeable about her profession and answered all my questions. She is very sweet and personable too. I sent my Husband to her as well for his back issues and we are both EXTREMELY happy we found Courtney! Definitely will keep my treatments on going with her! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I've seen Dr. Nissen as my primary care provider for chiro for over a year, and Dr. Basil at times when Dr. Nissen has been away. Both are excellent service providers - kind, compassionate, and extremely helpful! Dr. Nissen's care has helped especially during covid with back and neck strain. I have also seen Michael Darcy as my RMT at Bloor-Avenue Chiropractic, and he's been incredible. Even though all of the practitioners have been displaced by a fire in their office building, the front desk staff and care providers continue to provide exceptional service. I would highly recommend the office for anyone seeking comprehensive care!
The best thing I can say about Dr Nissen is that she *listens* to you and acts accordingly. I've gone to a few chiropractors over the years, and of those I've dealt with, more than any, she is both professional and human in dealing with her patients. Her office staff are equal in their professional yet personal care.
Amazing! To start, both Cherle and Amelia are very kind and welcoming, the best reception staff I have ever encountered. I have been seeing Dr. O'Hara for nearly 2 years now. She is very friendly and does an amazing job, I always leave feeling better. The staff truly care about their patients! I often had to make last minute appointments due to ongoing back pain and they were very good at fitting me in when possible. I also saw Dr. O'Hara regularly to help in recovering from a car accident, again, she was extremely helpful and friendly and would also give me simple exercises to do at home to continue the healing process and support a healthy back. I have also had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Jacobson. She is absolutely a delight to work with. Unfortunately, I could not continue with the naturopath but would recommend her in a heart beat. I've also received massage therapy from Michael. Michael continues to show how much the staff care for their patients, by checking in before and after treatments and even remembering how I was doing in the previous session. I would 100% recommend this Chiropractic clinic and team.
