little parisian-style bistro with fantastic and gorgeous French sharing plates Blanchette Soho is a hidden gem around the soho area, serving excellent food and great drinks the bistro is so likable and charmable, which serves a great selection of bites! my favourite has to be their dessert the slight bitterness is perfectly balanced by the sweetness carried by the caramelised hazelnut. the incredible dessert comes in a perfect size for sharing between two persons, but trust me, it’ll leave you craving for more! the intimate yet relaxing atmosphere makes it a good place for celebrations!
Foods good as expected. Portions are generous suitable for the price. But the manager barking you to be seated wasn’t quite impressive given we were the first arriving on time. The server’s service could make up for her boss.
Suberb food, could have wished for colder wine and a presentation of the bottle. We only received it in a glass after we ordered it. Service was good and the staff was nice! I took the pork belly which was fantastic, smaller sized portions. A starter which we took or some side dish to complement is recommended.
Great staff- friendly and accommodating! And, nice bar for eating. First course. Pâté be croûte, pickled vegetables, lacked flavor and a little dry. 2nd course. Baked St Marcelin & truffle honey, come on, melted cheese and honey is always delicious. Main course. Grilled pork belly, oyster mushroom and blue crumble apple. The best part of the meal. Not too fatty and a great flavor combo. It came with frites which were soggy and flavorless, unfortunately. Dessert. Chocolate tart, very bad. Also, very limited wine by the glass . Bartender was helpful and knowledgeable. I would return and try charcuterie and cheese. Overall. 7 out of 10. Good
An absolutely gorgeous gem of a restaurant. I casually walked into this place for some dinner and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were super helpful with the food recommendations and the bar owner himself was really lovely to speak to. The whole group made me feel very welcome, highly recommended
Fantastic outdoor seating area on a pedestrianized road. Rustic, chin indoor seating available too. The cocktail and wine menu were fantastic, excellent range. Delicious small plates, and friendly and efficient service.
I went the other night with some friends to enjoy a glass of wine. Food was good for the price in the menu. But I was a little disappointed by the service. We did not have a reservation and the manager that seated us was ugly and awful when we asked for a table. However, our waitress’s service was wonderful.
The food was great. We started with bread and butter and sea bream tartare. Finished them in minutes. If that doesn’t explain how delicious it was I dont know what does. Then ordered stoned bass as main course. Finalized with desserts. A real fête de l’estomac. Bread and butter: 10/10 Sea bream tartare: 10+++/10 - the best entree I ever had Stoned bass : 9/10 Dessert with cofee icecream and bun :10+++/10
Lovely French food and friendly staff. They also have a selection to try before theatre. But hopefully could extend dining time to 2 hours.
Really nice lunch at Blanchette, one of my fave places. Both Duck and Pork Belly were delicious for mains, but the chocolate choux bun dessert was out of this world. Excellent service, and lovely atmopshere as always.
