We are here from the UK and had a delicious home cooked meal here, including the fully loaded Poutine which I'd highly recommend! The staff were lovely and really helpful and informative, especially with us asking loads of annoying questions about the area, the history of the food etc! They even surprised us with a late valentine rose at the end of our meal, which made our day!
We have done take out and dine in from here, and enjoyed the food and the service. Veggie burger was great, and the fries were excellent. Huge fish and chips portions, and great wings. Went here for dinner last night with three other friends. I have to admit I had big expectations for this establishment and they were met. We had a delightful server who really understood customer service and had a smile that would make you want to smile , thanks JD. The burgers where amazing , the onion ring side was cooked perfectly and the portions big. The beat goat cheese salad was perfect and exactly as good as it looks. My only complaint is that I’d prefer my nachos to be layered better but it was a small complaint from the over all ambiance and service provided. Hopefully they get their liquor License issued soon I have a feeling I could hit this place up regularly, I live in innisfil so that’s saying something :- Thanks blacksmith gastropub for an attentive delicious experience!!!
Chef Steve had great recommendations including the Meat Pizza, beet salad and bacon & applewood burger. All were delicious including the chicken wings and French fries. Great convenient spot in Moonstone! Looking forward to more delicious meals here.
We had a lovely lunch here recently; good selection of beer, delicious beet salad and burger. The fries were incredible - we will be back for poutine!
Dropped in today, first time... Good service, excellent value, pizza and nachos for 2 made for a take home pizza. The pizza was amazing ... So yummy I would drive 40 minutes to retrieve another pizza... Excellent take out option off the 400 Hwy...
My boyfriend and I tried out this lovely small-town restaurant last night, 5+ stars from both of us! Absolutely DELICIOUS food, Chef Steve served us with kindness and knowledge. The atmosphere is homey and clean! The portions were more than enough, leftovers for lunch were just as good! I recommend this place to anyone, support local. This might be my new favourite spot! Cheers! Ordered: onion rings, fish and chips, and feta bacon guac burger. Kid-friendliness: Chef Steve is very polite, knowledgeable, and timely.
If we were rating just for the food it would be a 4-5 and our server was super nice, however, we waited 2 hours for our food. We watched take-out orders going out the door steadily for two hours as we waited for our food, we were the last to be served watching restaurant clear out. Pizza, nachos & pasta were good, fish & chips way over cooked. Ventilation could be improved, our eyes were stinging as soon as we walked in.
In from the states and went to dinner with the family and could not have been more happy. We had a group of 13 and the service was outstanding Jacob. Food is beyond great. The pizza dough is on of a kind! This is a definitely a place I will return to. Thanks for the hospitality Steve!!!!
A great spot! Take out has always been fantastic too - our favourite are the pizzas; generous size, cooked to perfection, and lots of toppings. Staff and owner are always friendly and efficient.
