Great Restaurant in down town Essex the Food was exactly what you would want. The atmosphere is great and the bar section is large and welcoming. Very casual dining with friendly staff. Cant go wrong.
Awesome food and friendly service! We had the salmon and the short rib ravioli, and I thought the rum punch was delicious!!! Definitely will be back next time we are in the area!

Black Seal Grille in Essex, CT is a very comfortable pub & restaurant right on Main St. The chief bartender, Winnie, is very personable & efficient. The only critique I have is its limited selection of draft beers. Need to work on that . . .
