I had the most unprofessional, substandard experience here in trying to transfer plates here in Iowa. As a new, professional, temporary resident of the state, I was appalled at the employees' nonchalant behavior and unwillingness to help me in my (typical) situation. One lady who was helping me, Kay, was so focused on arguing with me about titles that all of her passive aggressive questions could've been answered if she had just read the paperwork I gave to her. But no, she was on a mission to argue with me for some reason unbeknownst to me. The other employees, before my encounter with her, immediately said they couldn't help me before knowing the exact service that I needed. How the state hires these kinds of people to serve the community is crazy to me. But back to Kay... once I had to repeat three times that she had to read the paper that I gave to her, she instead had some supervisor read it and then came back with a 180 degree turn around attitude. Suddenly acting "nice" and thanking me for my patience when just 3 minutes prior she was interrupting, continuously saying no, and trying to snatch papers out of my hands. How absurd is this??? It must have dawned on her that I did indeed have the right paper work and she had just learned a new skill... Does Iowa really hire people like this? Never in my 10 years of conducting business in professional settings have I come across such infantile, unprofessional, and childish behavior. If these people are representative of the Cedar Valley, I want nothing to do with it. Giving my review to warn others of this sick behavior and hopefully they can be retrained to behave more civilized towards customers. Looking forward to relocating.
