my wedding bouquet turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. The ladies at the gallery asked me what kind of flowers I like, colors, the vibe I was going for and then just said "trust us and we will create something for you." So happy I trusted them. All the flowers were so fresh and beautiful and they all worked together perfectly. My one request was to have thistles in my bouquet and they listened- the thistles were so unique and lovely. I will definitely be returning for flowers in the future.

Working with Karla and her team for our wedding was amazing! I cannot say enough nice things. She brought my vision to life with her floral arrangements and exceeded my expectations. I was in awe when I saw the flowers on the day of our wedding. Our arch was absolutely stunning and everyone raved about the table arrangements as they had never seen anything like them before. They were whimsical, elegant and exactly what I was hoping for! Thank you Karla and team, I couldn’t have dreamed of better flowers. Again, you exceeded my expectations and when above and beyond!

I received an elegant bouquet this afternoon from Black and Earth Floral.  The flowers were fragrant and in full bloom.  The design was dazzling and it sparked joy!  Truly beautiful.

We cannot say enough good things about Black Earth Floral!!! They absolutely blew us out of the water with the attention to detail and ability Karla had to take what we described over the phone and turn it into exactly what we wanted and more. Our flowers were absolutely stunning and personalized to us! I was blown away by my bouquet and my husband’s boutonniere, which were both stunning. Even when my husband first saw my bouquet he was surprised at how Karla had managed to nail it on the head and deliver a bouquet that was exactly what we wanted. The prices were incredibly reasonable as well, for the quality of product delivered I truly think she could charge a lot more, but we also appreciated how affordable our flowers were. Karla was very easy to deal with both over the phone and we communicated often via text which made things so much easier for us. Karla’s attention to detail is evident and it shows. She provided us with a bouquet, boutonniere, reception table runner, eucalyptus cuts for our place settings, and decorative flowers for the ceremony arch. The arch was a show stopper and was absolutely stunning. My bouquet was unique, stunning colours and beautifully arranged. Karla set up the ceremony arch flowers and table runners. The table runner was amazing, simple, and elegant. Every piece that Karla and Black Earth floral made for us was elegant, stunning, thoughtfully arranged, aligned with our vision, and exceptionally beautiful. We even still have the succulents from my husband’s boutonniere and my bouquet which we have kept and grown in pots in our home.  We cannot recommend Black Earth Floral enough. You will not regret choosing them for any component of your wedding or special occasion. We cannot wait to have them provide flowers for other events and celebrations for us in the future, we will definitely work with them again!!!

Oh how do I list all of the ways I love Black Earth Floral?! Although I miss when they were closer to me at their old NW location, their Britannia location is BEAUTIFUL and it is an instant serotonin boost walking through the door! Their florals are absolutely gorgeous every-single-time, and they have so many other great things like lovely candles and the cutest cards. A seasonal indulgence of mine is getting a planter and wreath made, which are continually incredible and so beautifully made and I’m always blown away. And even though they are a floral shop, I’ve bought many great houseplants there too. Seriously B.E. is a total yyc treasure, I recommend you visit as soon as possible ; .

I visited the Black Earth Floral Gallery today; I wanted to send an arrangement to an individual who had assisted our family when our mother passed. The employee who assisted me suggested I have a look around the gallery.  This is not my first time in the store, and undoubtedly it is a fine shop, relatively new to our neighborhood, and wanting to establish itself in the community.  I selected an arrangement already completed for another client, and was told one similar could be created. Great!! I then asked the employee if she could email me a photo of the arrangement once completed I thought it would be nice to share it with the family; I was told it is "wedding season" and they are very busy.  Not sure, but I think the last time I checked a photo takes seconds, and perhaps another second to hit send.  Disappointed.

Karla and the Black Earth Floral team brought my floral dreams to LIFE!! We talked over the phone four to five months prior to my wedding to get the idea and look I was going for. I wrote notes before chatting with Karla and summed up my vision into three words: “wildflower-meets-boho.” She exceeded my expectations!! She was very easy going, quick to update my proposal and the amount of flowers I got for my wedding of 35 people was PERFECT! No flowers went to waste! Where do I even begin! Karla created the MOST beautiful arrangement of flowers I could have ever asked for at our wedding! I knew we were off to a good start when our initial consult took place over coffee and laughter. Karla was so easy to talk to and share my vision with - I had some idea of what I wanted our florals to look like but Karla went above and beyond and made all of my wildest dreams come true! Karla was so easygoing and made every effort to achieve my vision with me and make it even better than I had imagined. She was able to incorporate subtle details that were so meaningful into my bouquet. It honestly brought me to tears when I saw how carefully and thoughtfully Karla had pinned my grandfather's firefighter pin into my bouquet to hold as I walked down the aisle. Our arbor was EXACTLY what I wanted, as were the centerpieces and floral arrangement on the welcome sign. All of our guests could not stop talking about our flowers and how amazing they were!! One of my most treasured gifts from our wedding is a framed picture of my husband and I, framed by my unforgettable pressed bouquet. If you are in between florists for your wedding, go with Karla!! You will NOT be disappointed!

I ordered my wedding flowers from Black Earth Floral. Even though my order was small a bouquet and a small table decoration, Karla was excited about me being her client, and gave me her full attention. She helped me negotiate the best use of my small budget, and even suggested budget-friendly aisle decor. The flowers on the day of the wedding were fresh & beautifully arranged, and they lasted for 1-2 weeks after the wedding depending on the flower. I'm very happy with my experience, and would definitely order from her again.
