Went there and had a cup of mocha. As always it tasted great. With very nice staff as well. It's got a quirky outward appearance, with the famous black dog chilling. but once inside you're greeted by a friendly barista, and the coffee is some of the best I've ever had, anywhere, period. I've got to break stride a bit and admit that I've had mixed experiences with the food. But, this experience is also rare. Generally, I enjoy the sandwiches, but that's not why this place is great. The store is located inside the resort. You can get into it from the front or the rare through the trail. They have small patio section to sit at the front. Definitely a place to grab a quick food and coffee.
This beautiful gem of a coffee shop is your one stop shop for all your brunch needs! Their coffee selection is very extensive as well as their Breakfast & Lunch selections. My recommendation is to get a Caramel Hot Chocolate & a Smoked Salmon bagel sandwich! Outstanding! The owners were so welcoming, warm, & just good people who love dogs! My kind of people! The first Black Dog that started it all was named Sadie & their current black dog Shadow is carrying on the legacy! Both beautiful dogs! Sadie would be so proud! So if you love coffee, good food, good people, & dogs then look no further! Truly a fantastic place! Enjoy! Cheers!
Best place in Canmore for homemade, nutritional based,great tasting food. Using local Eclipse Roasters award winning coffee. Try the banana bread grilled with grass fed butter topped with maple syrup and whip cream!!Food: 5/5
Great service, amazing coffee and milk alternatives for lattes. This place has great vibes and you can tell they source high quality local ingredients, and their absolute best to cater to a number of different food preferences and allergies. Seems to be the only place in Canmore with keto baked goods. Keep it up you guys! : Happy to continue to support a business like this!
AMAZING service & amazing people. Came here after a gf recommended the quiche and I was blown away by how tasty it was !! The owner was on site and super kind and welcoming. Quiche was delicious & so was my caramel latte. I heard the carrot cake is also to die for. I’ll be back to try more of the food items!

Cute spot ! Located away from busy down town Canmore, this spot has yummy baked goods, and a good breakfast/brunch/lunch menu! Stellar coffee and Brad was so kind !
Perfect little coffee shop! The staff is super friendly, and are often making conversation with customers, which makes this place feel even cozier! Food and drinks are delicious, and are brought out very quickly, even if they're busy! Plus Shadow is absolutely adorable and the sweetest dog ever!
The first time I came to this café the man working behind the desk ignored me and asked the gentleman behind me to order . I was standing far enough away from the family in front of me for it to be obvious I was separate from them. The next day I went back with my daughter and she ordered toast and scrambled eggs. They didn’t put any jam on her toast as the order says on the menu, and when we opened the box we were shocked at how little scrambled egg she got. When we asked about the jam they told us we only asked for butter which was not the case whatsoever. The coffee flavour is mediocre and not worth the high price tag.
Really cute coffee shop full of home baked goodies. My carrot cake was really delicious. Loved the dog friendly vibe on the patio People were sitting outside and visiting and I was greeted by their very happy dogs. A great way to start my day The staff was really friendly. I enjoyed the music and a yummy coffee with my carrot cake. I will definitely go back to try more food and maybe even a glass of wine.
