Black Creek State Forest Campground

This campground has great potential its very beautiful with spacecious sites but unfortunately we quickly realized the first night that locals in the area use this location for other things then just camping. After a few strange vechiles spent half the day parked we began to search different sites and came across the fire rings being filled full of Gold spray paint which is used for huffing. And I also stumbled upon first responder gear at another site (blue gloves and medical fabric) the following day the same vechile came and also the 3rd day as well followed along with two other vechiles from previous days. With that being said it was my husband and myself but if I would of had kids with me I would of been livid to say the least.. We hesitated even leaving as well because we where nervous to leave our campsite at any time. Such a gorgeous place & people are ruining it. It's hard for me to understand why things have not been monitored more we figured out the problem within a few hours. Its sad & we do not plan on visiting again.

Beautiful place, I did a wedding ceremony and reception here. Staff was excellent.

This is the only rustic campground I have ever been to that has city water. No pumping the pump handle. It was great not having to work up a sweat just getting drinking water. Also, camp sites are next to the shore of the river. Very easy access to go fishing.

Good place to take the family, good for all ages.
