Black Coffeehouse + Lounge

Hidden inside this great coffee location is one of my favourite gems of all time, Indochine! Recently moved from Sunset, this place has downright brilliant food, top notch service, and a wicked happy hour. Dishes like beer coconut red curry, some amazing wings with flavours like garlic butter and hot, and many others. You've got to check this place out!!

Had a great time at black coffeehouse! It was my first time there in the evening, and I made a reservation for a pretty large group 25 people which they accommodated! I emailed them a few days before and they informed us of pre-ordering off of their evening menu to help the kitchen prep. No problem at all for us, and there was an 18% gratuity for the large group. When we arrived, they reserved half the restaurant for us and there was only one other small group there for drinks. There was only 2 staff working one was new too but they were very accommodating. The drinks were very aesthetic and yummy. The food wasn’t bad. I enjoyed the garlic Parmesan fries $10.50 with the ketchup and mustard. The grilled cheese bites with tomato basil marinara $12 was also a favorite. Some mentioned the portion of the prosciutto bites and cheese boards were a little small. Just by nature of our large group, those that didn’t pre order before hand had to offer after the food came out and unfortunately the kitchen ran out of some items! Overall, it was still a good time and we were happy to be at black coffeehouse.

Black Coffeehouse is the newest coffee joint in Mount Pleasant! I had the Iced black tea lemonade and veggie sandwich. Iced tea was perfectly sweetened to my taste and wasn’t bitter and the veggie sandwich has a yummy sweet savoury aioli and was so filling. The vibe in here is chill, fresh and inviting. And the staff are attentive and polite which is rare in some of the more stuffier cafes around the city. Highly recommend!

A contemporary coffee and drink lounge to have a chill time. With a vast selection of coffees and teas alongside alcohol this place is on my top picks to entertain.

I stopped by Black Coffeehouse for the first time. Love the atmosphere, and there are tons of outlets everywhere great spot for doing work or studying. I had the hot capicola sandwich and the iced hazelnut latte which were both delicious. This will definitely be one of my regular spots for coffee. Looking forward to trying the cocktails next time!

Love it here! Food is wonderful make sure to try the hot and sour soup :D ... My favorite ever All the staff are great, they are always super friendly and so helpful!

Everything is on point here. The music is a vibe, selected by staff thankfully, so I don't have to listen to top 40 radio while working. Started coming here to work as it's a nice alternative to working from home. My favorites so far: Mocha madness, Spanish latte and the regular coffee is great, even black, it's not acidic at all. The avocado toast is perfectly done and the staff is attentive and friendly. My new go to spot.

Nice new coffee house that turns into a bar lounge at night. Tried the grilled cheese bites, cappuccino and a beer. All were good and the staff was friendly.

Fantastic sandwiches and friendly front and back of house staff. I felt like a regular after my first visit. Only downside I can find is the early closing time for a lounge at night.

Great atmosphere but really bad coffee. They don’t check vaccine passport either. There are many nicer ones in this neighborhood. I regret visiting this place. But I have to admit their breakfast was okay. So giving them 2 stars instead of 1.
