Absolutely amazing food. And service was great also. The only thing I'd change is rather than warm water, serve cold water. Aside from that though everything was delicious and we will be return customers.Food: 5/5
Do not judge this book by its cover! Came across the restaurant by chance in Qualicum Beach and dined in with the whole family. Service was fantastic and the server was very polite. Food was quick waited 10 minutes and delicious! Portion sizes are in line with most casual Indian Restaurants in larger cities Vancouver , Toronto, Surrey and quality was the same. Kids loved their butter chicken and we enjoyed the lamb korma lamb was cooked just right and not too fatty and the mixed vegetables. Overall, a fantastic meal and experience. Would be 5 stars but we haven’t tried out the entire menu…. Yet! Thank you for the great informal dining service. Kid-friendliness: My kids love Indian cuisine and BJS supplied a great meal and environment to keep that going!
Excellent Indian restaurant in the small community of Qualicum beach on Vancouver Island about 2 hrs north of Victoria ... they were open everyday when all other types of restaurants closed ... excellent talent in curries and biryani. I have been a fan of Indian food for many years and have eaten at literally dozens of different Indian restaurants across Canada. I have found my new favorite, located conveniently in downtown Qualicum beach and is open 7 days per week!! I had the Okra Curry and it was absolutely fantastic! Had a wonderful cup of authentic chai tea… yummmm and can’t say enough for the friendly smiles and welcoming attitude of the people that were working there… try this place out, casual and comfortable environment, you won’t be disappointed
We were on the island for a weekend trip and decided to go there seeing the review and I would say the place is pathetic. Did the owner buy paid reviews. Anyways here is what I felt. 1. The food was no way near authenic indian. All tomato based dishes were basically ketchup. Biriyani needs a special mention. It curry was mixed rice with lot of chat Masala on it. Where on earth do you put bell pepper in a biriyani. 2. Service was terrible. Felt as if the guy serving was doing us a favour. The place was empty still the guy would just ignore us. I am never ever going back again. Wish I could give zero stars.
I know how hard it is to be a buisness owner these days, specialy with food costs, so I understand why and how these portions are the way they are. With that being said... I enjoyed the butter chicken, it was full of flavor but I would like to see bigger peices of chicken for the price. The peices were small compared to other restaurants here on the island. My container was just all sauce. As for the people complaining about not getting rice with it... that's not "a thing". And every other indian restaurant dosent include rice when you order a main. Had the cheesy garlicky naan, that was very very good. Thank you for a lovely meal over all.
Wow yum! The food is so tasty from here! Open till 9, and on Mondays which is rare for Qualicum Beach. Really friendly people, accommodating, food allergy aware and so tasty! 10/10! My wife and I will be dining here everytime we are in Qualicum !

I ate here this morning and it was super yummy! Nice service and the portions were not small like other reviews have claimed. Also the curry when you eat in does come with rice. A lamb curry, garlic cheese naan bread, a side of rice and a coke for 29$ is a great deal! I also got to take some home. Thanks!!:D
