Bistro - Resto La Place

If you come here for a beer, you can enjoy it on the expansive patio facing the St. Lawrence River. The patio is equipped with several slips to accommodate boaters. The view is truly marvelous. I would not recommend ordering any food here however. The restaurant is woefully understaffed and it easily took me 45 minutes to receive my fish and chips order. The fish was cold, fries were soggy and cold. The waitresses spend much of their time being pleasant but apologetic to all the customers. It is such a shame because this place has a real potentialal to be a gem in the area.

C'est triste mais la cuisine n'est pas à la hauteur. Les frites sont molles, graisseuses et tièdes, le fish&chips est une friture molle, commerciale de bas de gamme....et qui goûte le décongelé... On comprend que ce resto ne se donne pas la peine de cuisiner quoi que ce soit. On sert de la bouffe minable même pas à la hauteur d'une minable cantine. Pas de doute le site est absolument merveilleux mais il est légitime de s'attendre à une cuisine potable. Grosse déception et je ne le recommanderai pas. La vue est superbe et on peut voir de l'autre côté du plan d'eau des montagnes au loin. J'ai osé demander à la serveuse si elle connaissait le nom de ces montagnes : voici sa réponse : "aucune idée, la géographie c'est pas mon fort. J'ai un gps et j'suis même pas sûr comment il fonctionne". Édifiant, n'est-ce pas ? Tu travailles devant un site hors de l'ordinaire et c'est tout ce que tu trouves pour informer un "touriste".
