Bison Books

About

Eclectic selection of 25,000 hand-selected antiquarian and secondhand books, well-organized by our friendly staff.

Story

Our continuing influx of fresh stock includes everything from leatherbound antiquarian treasures, to contemporary literary paperbacks.
We carry a general stock of 25,000 titles in a broad array of subjects, with particularly large selections of Literature and History.

Greenfield Books and Jim Anderson Books each have a dedicated area of our shop, where they sell a variety of quality books on consignment.

We are centrally located in downtown Winnipeg, in a lovely space with lofty ceilings and huge windows looking onto one of downtown Winnipeg's busiest pedestrian thoroughfares.

We're always buying, and we pay cash for our books, which helps us to maintain a high-quality stock.

Online customers can rest assured that all orders are dealt with in a professional and timely manner, and all books packed securely and shipped efficiently.

The kind of bookstore you want have in your neighbourhood. An inviting atmosphere and a carefully curated selection that goes from casual reads to the rare and collectible. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, a Winnipeg favourite.

Bison Books has everything I want in a bookstore: it's clean, well organized, and full of surprises. You know that bookstore where you can browse for hours, find what you came for, and leave with a handful of treasures you didn't know existed, or thought you'd never find? This is the place. It's a little piece of magic tucked away in downtown Winnipeg, and my favourite place to spend an afternoon.
