I've been going to Bioped since they were at the old Sunnybrook Plaza and now at their Bayview and Broadway location. I started seeing Dr. Shaffu Sharma to address issues with an injury and many years ago and haven't stopped going ever since. I have several pairs of custom orthotics to support my feet - both hard and soft insoles for sport and every-day. My feet are in much better shape as I continue to strengthen my feet to prevent future injuries. Also want to shout out to Diane and the rest of the front-desk staff - super lovely, warm and friendly!
The BioPed Footcare & Orthotics team are superb. I always have a positive experience there. The team is collaborative and explains procedures fully, regardless of how complex or routine. I recommend BioPed to anyone seeking the best in professional footcare and customer service.
Would like to give this company a 2.5. The orthotics we got here helped my son who had leg pain, but actually caused excruciating knee and leg pain for me. I got them to help pain I was having under my feet, but it created so much knee pain that I have been limping for a week and can not exercise at all. Sadly the company does not have a satisfaction guarantee ..think twice before you commit here.
Nov. 1, 2022 I went to my follow-up appointment the other day with a concern that my orthotics was not fitting my shoe well. After examining them Shaffu found that they were shrinking. She asked if I was doing anything different with them. I’ve done nothing different and I’ve been wearing orthotics for over 10 years. Shaffu was going to make an adjustment but then decided that it would not do and decided to make me a new pair, then monitor then for any future changes. Now that’s something I didn’t expect, she stands behind her products plus both her and her associate took care of any concerns I may have with my feet. I really want to thank her and her associate for such outstanding care as always. Thank you so so much! Feb2020 Hi, let me tell you about some great footcare received from Shaffu and her team on Bayview. When I went to see her I was nervous about my feet since they were sore and bothering me. During my consultation Shaffu took the time to hear me out and explained some foot mechanics to me. This understanding put me more at ease. When I came back to get fitted for my new orthodox, they felt great and within a couple of weeks - the adjustment period they felt like a second skin and I wouldn’t be without them. Another instance I want to share - happened about 6 months ago. My orthodox hurt me all of a sudden while I was exercising. A call to Shaffu and she made time for me right away. She had to make some adjustments on the orthodox because my feet had changed from the time those old orthodox were made. As demonstrated just by these instances it showed me the sense of caring Shaffu has for her client. Shaffu Thank you so very much!
My husband and I have been going to Bioped and seeing Shaffu Sharma for many many years. We are thrilled with the service we have received. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The chiropodist is terrific . I have to give full praise to Shaffu for always being knowledgeable and skillful. She knows exactly how to create the orthotic that will correct the problem. There was some confusion and miscommunications to begin with, but it’s all be taken care of and overall, I am satisfied with the service and products.
BioPed North York is a fantastic clinic. Their staff are knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and compassionate. From the moment you walk in the door with their attentiveness to following covid restrictions to the care received from start to finish I always feel I am priority for them. They are punctual in returning calls, offer to bend and flex to meet my scheduling needs and they always ensure that I am provided with the comfort and support I need. I never feel they are too busy for me and they always ask the right questions to ensure I have what I need for my orthotics. I have also seen their podiatrist for a medical pedicure ad they also provided me with excellent care. I would 100% recommend this clinic and feel very lucky they are a part of my care team.
I have been going to Bioped Bayview for well over 10 years and would highly recommend all their services, from custom-made orthotics, to chiropodist appointments. Dr Sharma is knowledgeable, warm and detail-oriented. Her front desk staff are also always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this well-run location to anyone.
The team at Bioped are so courteous and knowledgeable. They diagnosed me with Morton’s Neuroma and my path to healing is well underway. Highly recommend.
This was my first time there. I went because my GP recommended them as I needed compression socks. The service and attention was first rate and the staff professional. While there, they watched me walk I use a rollator and recommended knee sleeves/stabilizers. I tried on a pair and had immediate improvement. They contacted my GP and shared their findings and recommendations. Needless to say, BioPed is now part of my care team!
