I was Today Years Old when I found out about Billy Sims Barbecue. GREAT FOOD! GREAT SERVICE! GREAT PEOPLE! They make you feel at home. The food tastes my Childhood, and makes me feel like a kid at the family barbecue, GOOD TIMES with my Cousins: RIGHT NOW, FOR A LIMITED TIME, You can get ALL YOU CAN EAT RIBS FOR ONLY $16.99 PER PERSON!!!
Excellent tender BBQ all around! Slow cooked meats with fast service! Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, etc. - you name it! All the appropriate sides, Cornbread, Beans, Potato Salad, Corn on the Cob, etc. Excellent house brand sauce choices! Turtle brownies and other desserts. Souvenirs as well. Super friendly people! Great atmosphere! Love this place!
Love Billy's! Not a big fan of the sides, besides the green beans, LOVE those. Every meat here is delicious!! Super friendly staff, they're always striking up conversation. I do recommend going here!
I wanted some ribs tonight and the closest place is Billy Sims. My husband was adamant about not getting them. He said, “Seems like they use St Louis style ribs. The ribs seem like a lot fat on them. Their smoked sausage is good but I really wanted ribs. I just can’t do them anymore”. Nice service and friendly people, but the main dish…ribs is a no.
I had their stuffed baked potato, it was close to their closing time, so I was apprehensive about the food being dried out. Much to my surprise the food was excellent. The staff was not making me feel rushed to get my order in so they could clean up and go home after their shift. I was very appreciative of this fact. I am looking forward to trying their chili, Frito bowl. I will be going back. Thanks for everything. Parking: In a strip mall limited parking because of the location. It is more of a take-out place than dine-in. Wheelchair accessibility: It is acceptable but could be much better.
Ok, so I actually *like* Billy Sim's BBQ. It's consistent, not over priced and I'm in and out of here in no time. Recently, they've started offering lunch specials. While it's a decent deal, I wish they didn't upcharge for the brisket, or the mac and cheese. It's kind of limited to the chopped chicken and like 2 sides. I went with the beans. Staff here's friendly, food tastes good and I never have a problem. Will continue to frequent on the regular. Go check it out!

Was not too pleased with the quality of the food. Spent 60 for my family of three. My daughter's ribs were red on the inside and super chewy and her mac and cheese was cold. My side of mac and cheese was cold as well. On the plus side the sauces were good and the staff seemed pleasant.
I don’t usually write reviews like this but hands down one of my go to bbq places when in Troy! Every time I go, I am reminded just how much I love it all over again. Not only is the food super tasty but everyone on their team always has the best attitude and is always willing to answer questions when I have them. Not only that but the attention to detail and cleanliness is outstanding! Don’t bother going anywhere else!
This place has gone downhill, unfortunately probably because of the pandemic. We ordered the pulled pork, polish sausage, hot links and brisket. Everything was cold, and dry except for the pulled pork. The sides of mac and cheese and baked beans were fine, not amazing. The worst was the brisket which is supposed to be soft and tender but it was really hard, like an over cooked steak. 16 ounces of meat for 34$ is a lot and it definitely was not worth it. Will not be going there again, the only good thing about this place was the service. The two workers were nice and patient with us when ordering.
