Nice place for nice food. I happen to stop by Hay River on route to Yellowknife, and found this really joint. Food is great, we had fish n chips, Jerk chicken etc. Service was great too.
I stop here on my annual visit to Hay River.nThe food is always fantastic. The service is just as good as the food. And it is a clean, fun place to eat. You will also find an assortment of board games available to play.nI highly recommend Big Lake!!!nAnd Thank you for always going above and beyond every time I’m here.
Amazing atmosphere, very friendly and excellent service. Great selection of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner; I highly recommended the Jerk Chicken Sandwich, absolutely divine!nnBeautifully decorated and lots of games and books to interact with and play. Price is very fair for the services offered.nnDefinitely stop in if you’re in the area or make this place your new local!
Absolute gem in the town of Hay River. Everyone told us to try here and I’m glad we did. During our trip we ate here 3x. We tried the red snapper, jerk chicken and jerk wings. Everything was delicious, and seasoned perfectly. Yes, jerk is supposed to be spicy. Big thumbs up
Big Lake is a nice, quiet spot with plenty of food options. The staff were very kind, and made my time in town fly by! It’s worth the stop.
