The food, the customer service and the ambiance is all what brings people back to this brunch place time and again. Long line ups during the limited hours of operation but its worth the wait. Like any other brunch place they also have choice of hot and cold drinks along with bowls, omelettes, pancakes and waffles . Many sides like fruits, salads, potatoes and small kids meals are also available. Vegetarians should not get dishearten as they have options for vegetarians as well.
Came here on a Saturday at 1130 am and a few people lined up waiting to be seated. We probably waited outside for 30 minutes then asked to sit inside as our qeue we were next to be seated at the table. We checked the menu and waitress came to take our orders. Our food was probably served after 40 minutes.....why ? ....dont know ? Heard that this place is known and busy . Business hours is from 8 am to 2 pm. The quality and quantity of the food matches with its prices except for the pancake signature I ordered is too pricey ! Their customer service is just plain basic. Will recommend and definitely coming back for the next big flat pancake !!!
It's our first time to try their breakfast. We have to wait more than 20 minutes because it's a Civic Holiday. The waitress greeted us and led us to our seats. Another older waitress took our order. She is a bit harsh in my opinion. We ordered ice coffee with cream but it did not tasted like it had cream. She then asked whether we would like to have cream and dismissively tossed us some cream. She noticed that I was surprised with her attitude, and claimed that we might be allergic with cream. We did not mention anything about allergies. We then have to wait for another 30 minutes before our order finally arrived as I saw that a couple behind us had their breakfast earlier. When I mentioned this to her, she said it is because making an omelet is takes longer than making pancakes. I'm giving 2 stars for her service.
This was my first time visiting, and I will definitely be back. Their menu options for hash bowls and pancakes is extensive, with something for everyone, including gluten free options. It has a great atmosphere inside, with friendly and quick service. The food was really tasty and came really quickly. A great spot for breakfast or brunch!
Delicious food with clean tables. Food is well seasoned but not too salty. Fruits are fresh! One downside is that the place itself is small so you would need to wait in line for a bit if you come during rush hour. Be ready to be standing outside. The parking lot is also very limited so be aware.Food: 5/5
We ordered meat lover pancake and BLT sandwich. Sandwich was smaller than expected but food tasted good. Service was also good once we were seated. Only thing was having to wait in line for quite a bit although there were few empty tables short staffed?. When we got there there were about 4 empty tables and around 4-5 small groups in front of us. Took about 1 hour from the time we got there to when we got our food.
Great place for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Friendly staff. Tried the Ham Hash, Hipster hash, and Jean Pierre benny the rast beef was so tender and flavourful Be prepared for a line up if you don’t go in early in the morning. 12pm weekdays seem less busy.
We went there on a Sunday around 9:30am. No surprises or complaints regarding the waiting time, that's expected for a small breakfast place. Service was good and the Old Mcdonald place was delicious. The waffle and hot chocolate were out of this world! The Bowser, big pancake with banana, was not as good as expected... But for sure we are coming back in the future to try more options.
Impromptu visit here this morning; not super busy, so we only waited a couple minutes and were seated right away. They were a tad short staffed, so there was a bit of a delay for the menus, but all three of the servers went out of their way to apologize and look after us from there We had the Oahu, a big flat pancake with bacon and and ham cooked in, with fresh pineapple on top...very good; it would have been even better if we'd ordered the suggested egg. Our other choice was a seasonal special "Lauren Loves Lemons" and. It. Was. A. Mazing. It was not breakfast, it was dessert. A nice big, crisp waffle with lots of blueberry compote, lemon cheese sauce, a huge mound of whipping cream, nuts and graham cracker crumbs. Way more than i needed, but I thought it'd be rude not to finish it.... So, food was awesome...staff were even more so...like visiting family friends, right down to the and my wife ganging up to give me a hard time for dripping syrup on the table. It is noisy, bustling, bright and cheerful and welcoming. As is the case everywhere, prices are up, alas, both dishes were in the $19 range but worth it for the treat it was. Can't say enough good about the place, and can't wait to go back...they have an Easter pancake right now, chocolate sauce and Cadbury Creme eggs, and it is calling my name.
Great location with ample parking. This is an excellent alternative to Cora's and IHOP and is much more reasonably priced ! The menu has loads of options and the food was delicious. I ordered off the seasonal menu and enjoyed gingerbread waffles with poached pears. The staff were warm and inviting and I look forward to my next visit!
