Beyond The Rock General Store

Cute little Newfie store and the owners are super friendly. Picked up some cod tongues, savory and a few other things. Lots of cute little knick knacks as well, definitely worth checking out!! We'll definitely be back again!

Jackie and Mark are excellent owners. I really like the fish cakes here and the freshness of all their products. Recently I picked up some squid tubes, carefully cooked them stuffed with cheese and bacon; delicious.

Quite possibly the only Newfie store in the region! It's like you've stepped into a general store on Main St, in Come By Chance! All the treats and brands you know from down home, and a freezer full of Newfoundland caught seafood. This alongside some genuine Newfoundland crafts make it your only stop, and totally worth the drive!

It's nice to be able to get me to East Coast food they're wonderful people I miss Newfoundland and it's nice to have a little bit of Newfoundland in the southern Ontario

The staff are amazing. They live right in there so when they aren’t on the desk. You only have to wait a minute or so for service. They’ve helped out my family because we don’t have a credit card. Ordering jerseys and selling them to us from there. Great family service.

Was so glad to see that this little gem has survived through covid. A funky little store with hard to find newfie fare.
