Story

Betty's Pies & Tarts is proud to have the best butter tarts in the Kawartha's as voted at the 2013 Flavour Festival. We are also very honoured to have won the Butter Tart Competition at The Royal Winter Fair in 2014. Whether you prefer your butter tarts plain, raisin, or with pecans, Betty's is sure to fill your butter tart craving.
Not only do we sell butter tarts, but we also have a wide selection of fruit filled tarts as well as pies made fresh daily. A selection of goodies the whole family can be satisfied with! Make sure to come on in and check out our store!

It's about the quality. They seem to have their own molds, making their butter tarts deeper than most, so have more filling. The crust, especially fresh, is just dry enough to hold together without being pasty in your mouth. And they're baked in dusted pans (instead of greased), and that also helps avoid the pasty pastry. In short ... and I say this as an avid BT hunter ... and after tasting BTs from hundreds of locations across central, Western and eastern Ontario ... These are my favorite. Wow. Edit : IF you care about price, it's a straight 20$/dozen.

The tarts here are ridiculously good. I don't even live in Coburg but I've gone out of my way to get these tarts. They are so delicious its almost indescribable. Anyways definatly drop by if you're in the area it's a very cute shop and they have reasonable prices.

Great tarts and great prices. Have bought for many years from a farm in Bowmanville where we used to be but first time visiting the actual bakery today. Super nice staff too :-)

Some of the best tarts in the country. The building is small and out of the way but you can tell by the steady stream of people in and out that they are popular. Our family always goes out of our way to stop buy when we are near Couberg
