Beautiful park along the scenic Fox River. A foot bridge connects to Grede Park on Mountain Avenue across the river. There is a tennis court, jungle gym playground area with rubber padded floor and a covered picnic area. There is also a bit of history here as well as some arboreal resurrection magic. See the pictures for the full story. Short version: The healing waters of Bethesda Spring were bottled here and shipped all over the country. The ancient oak tree that Colonel Dunbar rested under after discovering the nearby spring fell in a storm in 1991. Several cuttings were taken and one survived and you can see the clone of the Dunbar Oak in the exact spot formerly occupied by the old tree. “Life, uh, finds a way.” - Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic Park
Nice park.the only city park that allows dogs,in fact it has a water fountain made just for dogs.
Nice, quite, clean play area. Has river run through it.
Went on a bike ride out there. Lots of multimillion dollar houses to drive by and dream you could afford to live there. There is a great walk or bike trail and feel very safe in some of the Forrest areas . The park is very kept up and clean. You can walk your dog there. I did see a playground there somewhere for the kid. The bathroom are very well kept up as well. Thumbs up
Great quiet park next to the river. The large trees provide lots of shade in the summer. The only downside of the park is the run down tennis courts which are in desperate need of renovating.
Excellent walking trail, great views of the Fox River, clean restrooms, nice shelter area, playground is older but in good condition
This is my family go to park. It is a clean park and is dog friendly too! We bring our dog with us to enjoy the outdoors with the family. Just please pick up your dogs poop before you leave.
Beautiful park, love the kid/dog drinking fountains! Great playground, live the pickleball court. Very clean, nice neighborhood!
Love the park. Beautiful and peaceful. Just wish they had a basketball court instead of that tennis court that nobody ever uses. Which is why i rate it 4 stars.
My local park , I love it! good thing there aren't hoops. there is a nice tennis court, for a great game of tennis.
