Huge shout out to the staff at this Best Western!! They are the most friendly, kind, helpful people! The girl at the front desk was beyond amazing as hockey took over their hotel. Every employee you talked to was so kind and patient. As traveling hockey parents the kids want to have a little fun on these trips, and although we sometimes disrupt other guest,we appreciate how accommodating this hotel was!! 4 teams in one hotel is a lot to handle lol Also the breakfast was great and constantly being replenished. Clean rooms, great smelling toiletries we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you Best Western Staff!
One of the best of the Best, so to speak! Stayed here end of September. Great service, upgraded room to this huge suite which is a welcome bonus when travelling. Ample parking, near the highway, with everything you need. Slept right through breakfast so I'd say very comfortable stay! Walkability: Drive right up, wheelchair access front entrance.
Best place to stay with pets! Their pet friendly rooms are ground level with a direct access to outside from your room! Rooms were clean and comfy, and staff was friendly and professional. Will definitely be our top choice anytime we are travelling through Strathmore!
Stayed one night on a long road trip eastward. Clean, well cared for property with professional front desk staff. Solid 3.5 star property if they had their own restaurant and bar short walk to a couple excellent options. Would definitely stay here again.Rooms: 4/5
I have a mixed review. 1- price was around 150$ nightly with tax, so it definitely wasn’t cheap to stay there over a long weekend in the summer 2- pool was nice with salt water 3- breakfast was great, lots of food, great pancake machine for the kids 4- there is NO elevator, not great to go up and down stairs with stuff but manageable to have a room with the living room separate from the bedroom 5- the French doors to the bedroom didn’t both close when we arrived because the bedroom is so small that the bed is in the way of the door, we worked hard to slide the bed just enough to get the door to close but it was a seriously real challenge 6- the air conditioner is in the bedroom and the thermostat is in the living room, which means bedroom is freezing and living room is hot and humid, that was a challenge for us with the kids… plus there’s NO comforters on bed, 2 sheets and one thin blanket per bed! Odd… 7- my last and biggest issue was that it’s very bright in the room. The curtains were awful, we tried to clog the light with pillows, etc but it was quite a lot of light coming in, so I don’t recommend families with young kids used to proper curtains to manage well here for nap and bedtime before 10pm in the summer
We stayed for our anniversary holiday. The room was very reasonably priced. The room was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. We were wanting a jacuzzi suite - we booked the king whirlpool room and honestly should have looked closer at the photos. We had a good laugh when we got to the room and saw that we would not both fit in that bathtub. But that is not why we are rating it 3 stars. This hotel has no elevator which really made it difficult to bring up all our bags, shopping, food and drinks. Multiple trips. Another reason is the breakfast. It was honestly pathetic and not much variety at all. Very minimal things in the hotel room itself as well. No notepads, pens, extra blankets ect. And honestly I know you can call the front desk and request things like that but at 3 am when you are uncomfortably looking for an extra blanket you don’t want to have to call.
Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Stayed here when moving to B.C. car loaded with all my stuff, no security issues. If you are moving or have a full car I recommend booking the King sized bed as some those rooms have a door to the parking lot/your vehicle and it's easy to keep an eye on.Rooms: 5/5
Room was filthy upon check in - dirty bathroom, not vacuumed, and sheets had gross stains. House keeping helped to fix these issues quickly. Breakfast was excellent.Rooms: 3/5
Friendly helpful staff, clean room, but the room was a bit worse for wear, there are no elevators, and only the windows of the “first floor “ are actually above ground - good to know. I requested a quiet room - I didn’t realize that there’s parking on both sides of the hotel. Between the very noisy old fridge and the noise outside don’t know from what, and voices in the hall that carry through with ease, it wasn’t a quiet night at all. If you’re happy with a bit run down and are a sound sleeper, you might be ok with this hotel.
This place is awesome! We booked the single king with whirl pool and the room was HUGE! very comfortable, nice fire place, very comfortable bed. Hide-a-bed couch that we didn't use. Bathroom was large. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast included and staff there was great too! Very clean hotel. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.
