While the service was wonderful, unfortunately this hotel falls victim to a common issue: they don't have scheduled deep cleans for their HVAC units. This can cause health issues for not just guests but for employees as well.nnUpon entering my room smelled musty and sour. Having been a hotel manager for 8 years, I know that smell. Sure enough the wall mount AC unit was covered in black and penicillium mold. I wiped down the grate thinking that would take care of it but upon taking the cover off the unit to get the mold on the inside grate, I noticed that this has likely never been properly cleaned.nnThe staff was very kind and gracious, but management should schedule time for maintenance to vacuum and sanitize the internal unit on a rotating basis. Industry tip: use an air compressor and vinegar
Natalie at the front desk was a five star hotel representative. She bent over backwards to help us out in securing a room that would better fit our needs.nnEven though it took a bit of time, she wouldn’t give up. And extremely friendly.nnThe hotel and the rooms are very clean. And it includes a good complementary breakfast each morning! Good value for money…
I was very disappointed with how we were treated during breakfast. While other guests were welcomed and served without issue, we were singled out, questioned, and watched closely by Susan. It was clear we were being treated differently because of our race. The experience was uncomfortable, upsetting, and completely unacceptable. Discrimination like this has no place in any hotel. We expected respect and basic hospitality, but unfortunately, we received the opposite. We will not be returning. I will make sure to take this to higher up for sure.nnWe paid like everyone else and don’t appreciate being treated different.
Hi! We failed to book our hotel in advance, dumb I know, so we called The Best Western Pitt Meadows. They were able to get us a room for the Thursday and Saturday nights, but not Friday. Great, we were happy with that. Then, the wonderful lady helping us, Karen, saw they had a cancellation. So, she upgraded another couple, and we got a room for all 3 nights!!! Phew! We were so incredibly thankful!nWe have stayed here several times before, and it has always been great. Hot breakfast, fancy coffee machine, it's just wonderful!!!nThank you Karen! You made our whole weekend!!!
Super friendly staff. Especially Natalie. Very helpful. Great suites. Extremely clean. Wonderful bed. Good breakfast with non dairy milk is a plus. Free water and coffee and tea all day in reception was a great extra. The sitting room in suite could have done with a window as it was very dark and some cushions on the sofa but overall it was a fantastic stay
