Checked in at 3:50. Sat and waited around till 4:30 to have the room completely clean out.nnThe main swimming pool water is very clouded, full of chemicals that I can't even see my feet nor the flooring.nnThe hot tub water is completely yellow. Chemical can't even hide it. Then Turned on the hot tub jets. Because of the water movements, the whole tub foamed thick. So disgusting.nnEverything else was decent.
I am a fan of Best Western hotels to stay with my family each year. It would be great to have access to rolling beds when we request them as our kids are in that weird age of not being old enough to be in one separate room and not small enough to sleep in our own bed.nThis hotel was in a very good location if you want to be around the Abbotsford, Langley area. One hour car distance from Vancouver and its main attractions. Free parking. A very nice restaurant Diner just across the street and many chains around in walking distance. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and well maintained. The whole hotel was recently renovated and it felt overall new. The beds are very comfortable. The TV selection was fine. A/C working great.nThings we disliked was the breakfast that could have been better quality, variety and availability of options.nThings to improve could be the shower which had very little pressure.nAs the hotel has been just renovated, it seemed to us that the second floor had some new carpets but there were some old furniture left on the side of the alley. Nothing too bad, but it could be removed. Finally, the washrooms in the lobby were not working, so people had to use the pool bathrooms. All in all, it was OK but small things could be improved to elevate the experience to the BW standards that we are used to. Thanks.
Oh let's begin with all the reasons why you should avoid this hotel wherever possible.nn1. Late check-in: got to the hotel a bit early about an hour before check-in time at 2pm. The room wasn't ready, no problem, I dropped off the bag in another party member's room who checked in the previous day and went for lunch. Room wasn't ready until 4pm, 2 hours late. So not off to a good start.nn2. Based on reviews from 5-6 months ago, renovations were ongoing. And I can definitely say they remain in renovations. No notice provided by the hotel before checking in. Would have appreciated a heads up before reading it on the door, maybe a discounted price.nn3. The location of this hotel is actually terrible. I'm not sure if it's the whole town/city, but the area this hotel is in, my goodness.nn4. There was blood on the stairs going up to the 2nd floor. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a picture since by the time I came back to get the picture, it was covered by a carpet nailed/stapled down.nn5. There was blood on a blanket in the hotel room.nnStaff tried their best, but overall the experience was dreadful.nnWould highly recommend looking into anywhere else to stay.
I had to find hotel room close to family and chose this as nothing else Was available.nWe encountered a few issues while staying here.nn1. For 4 people they only had two towels. They said they would send more up and never did. I had to go down to reception the next day to get towels. The shampoo etc is horrible.nn2. The halls were dirty and there was stuff everywhere. Random tables etc.nn3. The fridge in the room wasn't working properly. We had left overs we wanted to keep and ended up having to throw it away. There was no milk in the room to make coffee. There was coffee, sugar and cups but no milk. We had to go buy small ones for each day and throw it away due to the fridge not working.nn4. Breakfast was ok. Egg was constantly heated in the microwave which made it horrible to eat. Atleast the waffles we could make fresh and eat.nnFor a last min booking it saved my back from sleeping on an air mattress but def would not consider this one again.
The bathroom should need cleaning, bathroom basin was leaking, when we called for maintenance, they didn’t do anything. I was staying with kids you can just imagining after a long drive you want a place to relax not for stress. So please think again before you do your booking. And the morning breakfast was horrible, there was no attendant there at least to check to fill milk
