I had a very disappointing and stressful experience at the Best Buy Cambridge store while returning a refrigerator. I had successfully initiated the return online, received confirmation, and was clearly instructed by Best Buy to bring the product to the store to complete the refund.nnWhen I arrived at the store, the employee assisting me named Sandra was extremely unhelpful and dismissive. She repeatedly made excuses, claiming that online appliance returns were not allowed, despite the fact that Best Buy’s own system approved the return and directed me to the store.nnShe asked irrelevant and judgmental questions, including why I returned the item in Cambridge instead of Kitchener—even though the Cambridge store is closer to my home. She blamed shipment delays, claimed lack of system access, and suggested I should call customer service myself, instead of taking ownership of the issue.nnThe interaction felt harassing, judgmental, and discriminatory. Customers should not be blamed or judged for Best Buy’s internal system problems. If there is a system issue, Best Buy should fix it internally rather than imposing the burden on customers who simply follow the instructions provided.nnAfter nearly an hour of unnecessary back-and-forth, she finally contacted the help desk, acknowledged there was a system issue, and completed the refund—proving that the return was valid from the beginning.nnThis experience is not about the money. It is about customer rights, respect, and doing the right thing, rather than judging people or making them feel uncomfortable for following company policy.nnBest Buy seriously needs to improve staff training, accountability, and customer service standards.nnAttaching my refund initiated email from Best Buy as well.
I purchased a phone from Best Buy on January 6th of this year and also enrolled in the Best Buy warranty program, for which I pay over $15 every month.nnRecently, my phone’s speaker became damaged, so I visited the store to get assistance through my warranty. I first spoke with a team lead who informed me that the repair would be covered and that I would receive a temporary phone to use during the process. Since he was busy, he asked another staff member to explain the details to me.nnThe second associate told me I would need to pay a $250 deductible and that I might receive a repaired or refurbished phone depending on whether the issue could be fixed. I explained that the team lead told me it was fully covered, but he did not agree. I then went to the customer service desk, and the employee there gave me the same information. At this point, I was extremely frustrated—being told to pay a $250 deductible for what is likely a simple $100 repair, especially after already paying nearly $150 in warranty premiums, made no sense.nnI spoke with two more employees and received the same incorrect explanation. Finally, a staff member named Mr. Carter took the time to check my account properly. He reviewed all my details and confirmed that the issue was fully covered under the Best Buy warranty, since there was no physical damage. He helped set up the repair, and I truly appreciate his professionalism and willingness to resolve the situation.nnHowever, it took almost 45 minutes and conversations with multiple employees before receiving the correct information—something that should have been clarified within the first 10 minutes. I also had to control my frustration throughout the process due to the lack of product knowledge and customer care shown by several associates.nnThis experience has significantly impacted my trust in Best Buy’s customer service and training standards. Going forward, I will likely take my business elsewhere—such as Vision Electronics or Costco—where I’ve consistently had better experiences.nnI hope this feedback helps improve the quality of service for future customers.
I went to Best Buy Cambridge to buy an iPhone Air and ended up waiting in line for about 45 minutes without getting assisted. There was only one staff member helping customers, a girl with spectacles and a diamond-shaped face, and she was handling everything alone. The customer ahead of me took around 30–40 minutes, which made the wait extremely frustrating. This situation should not happen, especially when offers are being advertised. There were also no seats available, so people were forced to stand the entire time, which is very inconvenient, especially for elderly customers.
I purchased a new laptop from the Cambridge Best Buy on November 5, 2025, & wanted to recognize Sehbu for the outstanding customer service he provided.nWithin less than 2 minutes from my entrance to the store, Sehbu politely greeted me and inquired how he could help. Once I explained how I would primarily be utilizing the laptop both taking - and teaching - online classes, Sehbu researched the best fit and price point for me, also explaining without hard-selling the advantages of Best Buy's warranties, Geek Squad services, etc.nThanks to Sehbu's informative, professional service, I saw no reason to shop elsewhere; I purchased a laptop that evening that perfectly corresponds to my needs.
We bought a 75 inch tv at Best Buy and it went on sale a few weeks later for black Friday. It was a significant difference. Brought the receipt in and they honored their price match policy no questions asked. Very impressed with their customer service and would definitely recommend buying from here.
