I haven't been to a Best Buy in years. It used to be a fun place that I would visit with my son, when he was a kid, to discover new technology ... he was also allowed to push all the buttons he wanted, and we'd often leave the store with a couple of small purchases.nnToday, I went to Best Buy to drop off an old laptop and a couple of old tablets. They accept old technology. You just drop it off at a large recycling bin near the entrance, which is much better than throwing it in the garbage and it ends up in a landfill.nnAnyway, I decided to go inside and check out the store. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much it has changed, hence the reason for this review. They've done a great job reinventing themselves and redecorating the place accordingly. It was also great to see a physical store still exists for what's become one of the top online purchases since the pandemic, i.e. electronics.
I bought dryer machine on Sunday June 2 2024 when I got home my wife did not like it the next day I went there to ask them cancel the order and replace it with another machine they said they were going to send email to the company and ask them to cancel the order and they will call me back after day one I received massage about delivery time on Wednesday the dryer machine which I supposed to be canceled I tried to cancel it but I couldn’t so they told me not to accept the order? It’s ridiculous that no body has any kind of responsibility respecting our rights and our privacy.
I purchased a laptop online for pick up at this specific location as this model wasn't available at my local store.nAfter driving for over 20 minutes to get there, I was informed that I needed to present 2 pieces of ID to collect my purchase. I explained that I only had one ID, as the email confirmation I received only mentioned the requirement for one. The employee insisted that two IDs were necessary. I was frustrated that the employees seemed to be making up rules as they pleased, without following what had been communicated to me, the customer. The employee then offered to cancel my order. Clearly, they didn't mind losing my business to Amazon. I requested to speak to the manager, who also initially said that two IDs were required. After I showed him the email clearly stating that only one ID was needed, he then offered to help, but it was too late, as my order had already been cancelled. What a waste of my time. Save yourself time and order on Amazon for free delivery. The prices are the same even when Best Buy runs promotions.
Review Title: Disappointing Customer Service ExperiencennI recently visited Best Buy to purchase a portable air conditioner. Although I quickly found what I needed, the overall experience was ruined by poor customer service. An employee advised us to take a picture of the product barcode to speed up the checkout process. However, when we reached the checkout, Shirley Maria, the cashier, was visibly upset and treated us with an unprofessional attitude, as if we were not valued customers. Her demeanor was unpleasant throughout the transaction, which left a sour taste in an otherwise straightforward shopping trip. Our receipt number is #940 4 3954 07312024. I hope Best Buy addresses these customer service issues to ensure a better experience for others.
Purchased earphones and did not approve of the sound quality went to return the day after and they stated their policy does not refund headphones. It took a second commute, and a back-and-forth with customer service, to then involving the manager, to suggest a store credit or an exchange.nnA different item was picked that day, and when I went to the cash to do the exchange, A different colleague was at the cash register, confirming if the exchange was authorized and there was still an issue with communication between colleagues.
