Besant Campground

It's a great campground! Lots of space in the sites. Had power and water supplied. Great rates on seasonal sites!

Great park for an over night stop. The parks is rustic with lost of trees. Most of the sites you park parallel with the road. The seasonal sites are nicely laid out. The only thing that NEEDS TO MENTIONED IS.. make sure you fill your tank or bring drinking water as their water is not for drinking or cooking Restrooms: Clean washrooms Picnic area: Well maintained picnic area with a few Adirondack chairs.

They don't take cards but luckily I was able to do etransfer to pay for a night. Friendly staff and a beautiful place to walk around! The only thing I didn't like were all the loud trains going through there at night.

Cute place with a sandy beach. Chairs and umbrellas there to use. Water was not too deep for a small child. Restrooms and showers $2 available to clean off afterwards. Saw leeches in the water so my child did not go back in to play. Clean surroundings and polite staff.

Good place to take kids. There is a historical site as well.

It was a good campground we stayed here on our way out west, so it was a must stop on the way back home,we liked it a lot.

We camp out here throughout the summer. Nice, friendly place.

Such a peaceful park, great place for bird watching and sunsets too! Staff very pleasant and accommodating and have a well stocked concession for things forgotten, like ice.

Great little park hidden in a valley just off the #1 highway. The annual "Run to Besant" car show is definitely worth a visit.

We found this campsite off the highway 1 after a long hot drive. A welcoming staff welcomed us into their humble and comfortable site. Great for younger kids to cool.off in the shallow pond while grown ups relax in the shade. And a cute pooch to boot! Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stop off.
