Had pretty good fishing but the owners seem more interested in a "5 star" resort that they also run. Everything worked but a lot of things need work. They advertise having a store on the premises but don't count on finding food there. Bring All your supplies and definitely change All of your funds.
They refused to give us an exchange on American funds which is somewhere in the neighborhood of 27%. Fortunately, we changed most of our money at the border but my deposit of $450 was run through as American funds and no exchange was given because it was "too complicated". This cost me at least $100 and I'll bet they would have bothered with the calculation if the exchange had been running the other way.
I vacation frequently in Canada and when the exchange rate is significant every place I've gone in five different provinces hasn't struggled with these calculations, from burger joints and gas stations to resorts and boat rentals outfits. Pretty disappointing. I got shorted at the register once too. They corrected it when I brought it to their attention but it felt a little funny.
There's a lot of great places to fish in Canada where you don't have to put up with this sort of thing.
Once you're up there there isn't a hell of a lot you can do about it so I won't be back.
