Prices for food are not a factor for my rating. Just be aware that this is an expensive spot. Let me start off with my waiter; she wasn't good. I only saw her 3 times. 1st was to take my order, 2nd was to bring our food and 3rd was to bring the check. Never once came to see how we liked the food, if we wanted any cheese, refill on water, or if we would like desert. My food did not have any flavor. I felt like I was just eating pasta with olive oil. I should have just gone to The Cheesecake Factory or pasta villa
Quaint little restaurant in the Trader Joe's plaza with a really nice quiet atmosphere. I had the Italian Margarita and it was pretty delicious. Never had kiwi syrup in a drink before. We started with the fried risotto, which is basically arancini. The blush sauce paired with the pesto on top really made this dish. The risotto itself was well cooked, and had cheese stuffed in. Great appetizer to get the meal going. Wife had the minestrone that she said was perfect, and really filled her soup craving. As always, I had the Cesar salad, and while a little overdressed, it wasn't overpowering. I would get it again. Entrees were the vodka penne for the wife, and I had the mushroom ravioli and added chicken. Wife said hers was good, but it wasn't spicy as mentioned in the menu. She was saving room for dessert, so didn't eat as much. I, however, couldn't stop, and joined the clean plate club. The ravioli themselves were tender and so flavorful, in the light pesto cream sauce. Mix that all together with the spinach, artichokes, and tomatoes, and this dish was spectacular. Our waitress did not get it wrong when she recommended it. For dessert, I got the apple crostada, and wife got the creme brulee. This was the only negative of the night - way too much caramel sauce on both. The creme brulee literally had a pool of it on top that she scraped most of it off. Similarly, mine was swimming in it. It really took away from both desserts. Also, the bread and butter was fantastic. Our server was very friendly, and did a great job balancing all her tables. Sorry there aren't more pictures.
Had an amazing meal. Got the Chicken Orzo Soup and the Short Ribs as an entree both were excellent but the Short Ribs were awesome, perfectly cooked. Went on a weeknight so it was quiet and comfortable at the restaurant, nice atmosphere. The service was excellent, I was a member of a larger party and was shown right to the table when I arrived. Our server immediately came over and asked if I'd like a drink as I had arrived a few minutes late and then continued to be very attentive and friendly but not overbearing the entire meal.
Found this gem on google. We had a great experience. Soup & appetizers were a great start. All 5 of our entrées were delicious and extremely generous portions. We really enjoyed the atmosphere & our waitress was super friendly, really knew her product, and seemed to enjoy her job. In addition to that she was training someone. Either the owner or manager came by to see that we were satisfied, which we were. Then the desserts did not disappoint!! I highly recommend this restaurant. We live about an hour away, but we’ll be going back some day.
The Calamari Fritta was tasty ... but consisted mostly of fried banana pepper rings. We want squid on our dish not rings of filler/s. Nice but not inexpensive.Food: 3/5
Great happy hour food specials . I love the grilled wings , although last time I had them they seemed fried. Get there early to get a table. Mushroom ravioli is another awesome dish.Food: 4/5
Food is always good! Our server on Saturday, December 10 was excellent. He was pleasant and attentive. Always making sure we had whatever we needed. I would recommend Benucci's.Food: 5/5
Oh my goodness, DELICIOUS. Loved the bruschetta, the bread was amazing, and our food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return on our next visit to Rochester! Great for date nights or as a family!Food: 5/5
I really enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere. I ordered an eggplant parmesan with came with noodle with red sauce. They seem to mix it up because before I went I received spaghetti and this time I received fettuccine. The eggplant was sliced thick with a great breading and ample mozzarella. The red sauce I believe was vodka sauce which was good also. It could use more eggplant and less noodle but I enjoyed it still. The staff are also great I haven't had a bad experience. It can get really busy after 5 pm. The restaurant is warm and clean. The men's restroom is small with only one toilet and two urinals. I wish it had a foot or elbow handle but otherwise is fine. My partner got Alfredo which tasted less good than the last time we came here. It wasn't bad, just bland. We got the creme brulee and tiramisu for dessert which were both delicious. I recommend this place. Vegetarian options: They don't have a large selection of vegetarian options. The menu in general is small, which isn't a bad thing. I haven't tried them all but the eggplant parmesan is delicious. Parking: The restaurant is tucked in a corner of a strip mall with a large parking lot. But they only have a corner of that large parking lot. You can see on Google maps how little is close to them. I would say if you have a person who can't walk well, drop them off at the front. Unless you get a close spot.
Great food, but they were understaffed. The waiter took our order, filled our drinks, made mixed drinks, and took dirty dishes from tables to the kitchen and clean glasses from the kitchen to the bar. They were doing just too much to give good attention to each table as an individual.Recommended dishesWarm Bread and Garlic Butter
