Very classic French Bistro. I recommend this place only if you like classical French dishes. Everything tasted great and service was also very polite as well. However, it’s very crowded and the tables are pretty much next to each other very very close so I could hear every conversation from the couple right next to us. Honestly I would not use it for intimate romantic occasion but good for group or family.
A very disappointing experience, to be honest. Decided to ignore the bad reviews and still go for it, but regretted later. 1 Service was very lousy: staff are inattentive and reluctant to communicate. No one explained us the menu or recommended anything. Then our appetizers got mixed up. We were waiting for each course for at least half an hour and ended up spending more than 2 hours there. 2 There was literally nothing that we liked from the food we ordered. My dessert was completely tasteless, the fish was mediocre at most, other dishes were also not worth the money we paid. 3 Place itself doesn’t really look like it’s taken good care of. All dull and sad, no music, lack of space. It makes you want to leave faster. I can’t even find one positive thing about this place.. Would definitely suggest going for another option if you love fine dining.
Beautiful old classic French style restaurant. The 39euro lunch set was very good especially if you are into desserts. 3 almost full size choice of classic French desserts at the end made this a very memorable meal. I am a big dessert eater but I couldn't finish them. Very overwhelming in a good way. Love it.
Came here for traditional French delicacy. Amazing value lunch that doesn’t skimp on quality. The escargots were well cooked, didn’t rubbery at all and the sauce was the highlight! Calf’s head was not a typical food that I would like to order but turned out the meats were tender and my partner said the black pudding tasted awesome as well. Portion of the desserts were generous and the staffs prepared a small bday cake for my partner after all courses. We enjoyed our time here because not only the food but also the ambiance and overall experience were great!
Perfect spot for an elevated Michelin French bistro lunch experience while exploring the lovely Marais neighborhood. We booked a day in advance and we’re able to secure a weekend lunch table. Tasting menu was superb and experience was well paced approx 1.5 hours and enjoyable. The tables were close by each other but this worked in our favor for our group of 10, we each booked a 2 person reservation and ended up seated near each other as though we had reserved for our large group!
Gorgeous venue. It was a classic upscale French bistro. Service was very friendly and efficient. Nice wine by the glass selection. Delicious complimentary bread and butter. The duck ballotine was tasty and the lamb with potatoes was good but it kind of lacked salt. Affordable two or three course menu. A must in Paris.
Traditional French bistro whit a perfect service. Perfect option to enjoy an authentic traditional lunch in a Michelin star restaurant. My favourite dish was the lamb and both of the dessert was absolutely delicious. If you will never go to Paris you can’t miss this place. I will definitely be back.
It’s very crowded. The tables are very close to each other, couldn’t be relaxed at all. I have to move the table if I’d like to go to the bathroom. The calf’s head was delicious, but what I wanted to order was sold out, so I ordered the black pudding. However, it’s not to my taste. A classic French restaurant with vintage style decoration, but for me, it’s not worth the price and the Michelin star.
Our last meal in Paris. It’s an old school French restaurant. So expect tried and true recipes that tastes like the 1800s. Need to book ahead of time and restaurant was packed. People would swear that this is the best but some who had modern French and fusions would argue otherwise. We loved it, but not as much as the other ones we had in France.
I had very high expectations about Benoit because I found this place in the Michelin guide. Traditional French restaurant. There was good service, especially the sommelier, and a nice atmosphere. The menu was very small so we hardly chose what we wanted to try. But the food was very disappointing. Not worth this money
