I wanted to try elk and bison meat during my recent first-time Yukon trip, so I came here for dinner. It was a great choice! The ambiance was just right - not too loud, and not too dark. We ordered the elk roulade and bison bolognese - they were beautifully presented, generously portioned and above all tasted great! The pink belly cocktail was also, as one reviewer pointed out, very refreshing, and in a beautiful glass. The server that night Feb 21 was also very sweet and energetic. There was an issue with the restaurant's credit card machine and she kept apologizing for the inconvenience it caused us, even though it was not her own fault. Eventually, after having called her manager, she told us we could just leave and come pay another day only if convenient. When we did find a chance to come back and pay for our meal Feb 23, the same server was on duty, and she again apologized profusely! Note to the manager/owner, if you see this review, PLEASE deliver her I forgot her name kudos! She exemplifies service. Would love to come back and try some other dishes!
We went there for convenience since we're staying at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and amazing food. The dishes were plated to perfection and the flavor was bang on! We ordered the elk roulade and bison pasta.... also the pink belly cocktail is very refreshing!
I arrived at Belly of the Bison after spending the day touring Whitehorse with Minister Bill Blair. Upon arriving, I knew it might be difficult to find a vegan option. Not wanting to make a scene at my table, I stepped away to speak to the server in private. I had informed her that I was vegan, and asked if the chef could whip something up for me. I was delighted by her response and further delighted when my meal arrived. The dish was divine. The vegetables cooked, and prepared to perfection. I recommend they add this item to the menu permanently, because it is delicious. To any vegans of whom are hesitant to eat at Belly of the Bison, they will take care of you.
Celebrated Valentine’s Day with my lovely wife and her archenemy, my little girlfriend, aka our daughter. Their duck breast is highly recommended! Their bison ribs are finger licking as well. Great choice for special occasions
A great place to eat in Whitehorse. I went here for my Birthday dinner this past December and again tonight! Ambiance was lively, and decor was nice! The service continues to be amazing. Menu selection was unique i.e. elk rouladen The food was flavourful and the presentation was outstanding! I will definitely be returning.
This is a classy establishment where you can get a delicious meal, paired with some fantastic drinks. Thank you to our wonderful server, who made sure that we really enjoyed our time here!
