We didn’t have any food so I won’t comment other than it looked good when I saw it go to other tables. Your beer is always amazing and I like the more options being at the brewery. I am upset that you got rid of iron on patches and if you have any, I’d like 2 please. The service was satisfactory, we felt as though we were inconveniencing our server, other staff that assisted us were excellent though. Overall, I love the vibe and people watching at your patio, the beer is second to none. Cheers.
Busy Wednesday lunchtime. Staff were friendly and efficient. Amazing choice of beers. Simple menu but delicous. Pate. Fries and tomato and mozzarella salad were all excellent. Superb. Will def be back.
Before you even open the menu, taste their Jelly King dry hopped sour beer. If you like a light beer with a relatively high alcohol content to drink during the day then this is by far your best bet. The cheese platter is great too. But the best part is actually underground in the washroom area where they have a huge wall mirror for best groups selfies! We had so much fun
If you ask anyone in Toronto where to get the best craft beer in the city, Bellwoods Brewery is almost always at the top of the list. Located right on the Ossington strip, this place is an absolute staple for a reason. The vibe here is completely unmatched, especially during the summer when they open up their iconic front patio.nnThe beer program here is elite. If you’re a fan of sours, you absolutely have to try Jelly King - it’s their flagship dry-hopped sour & it is the perfect, crisp summer drink. If sours aren't your thing, Jutsu their pale ale is incredibly smooth and easy-drinking. They are constantly rotating their taps and experimenting with new brews, so every time you visit, there’s something new and interesting to try.nnThe food menu is relatively small but punchy, focusing on high-quality, locally sourced snacks and mains that pair perfectly with the beer. Their dynamic fries, seasonal salads & local cheese boards are always on point.nnThe only downside, though it just proves how good it is, is the wait time. The patio is incredibly popular and they don't take reservations for small groups, so on a sunny Friday evening or Saturday afternoon, you will definitely have to wait.nnPro tip: If the line for the restaurant is too brutal, just pop into their retail bottle shop right next door. You can grab a few fresh cans or bottles of whatever they have on draft, walk two minutes down the street to Trinity Bellwoods Park & enjoy the afternoon there like a true local.
I've been drinking Bellwoods for many years and finally visited one of their locations in person. I was hyped to check it out and assumed the large line outside was a good sign. What proceeded was a 20 minute wait while the staff were uncoordinated in their attempts to turn over tables - they barely bothered to check in with the waiting customers and the few times they did so seemed like a major inconvenience.nnThe beer was ok. Bellwoods still makes reliable brews for all tastes but they don't seem to innovate or excite anymore. I did not try the food so I can't speak to that quality.nnI will certainly re-visit down the road to give it another chance, hopefully during a less busy period!
