Belleville Police Service

I called the Belleville Police Station after a guy in a car was playing on his cell phone for almost 3 hours, outside my house; whilst smoking a giant glass bong you would be able to see from two blocks away. Called them back 8 times. I finally gave up and the illegal drug smoker went on his way, peeling off down the street. Left McDonald's cups and bags out front of my house along side: Parking on the sidewalk, blocking my driveway which is shared by 3 homes, and parked for 3 hours at this point illegally due to street parking regulations. Good job Belleville Police Force. Good thing I didn't have to go to work asap like I do in a few hours. Considering the local radio stations play ads saying drugs are just as bad and/or worse on driving performance as driving drunk; you'd figure they would be a little more on top of things. Hey, I'm just a truck driver, what do I know... not like I don't deal with morons like this guy every day for hours-on-end. Parked outside my house at what is now hour 4, (midnight), loitering, littering, proof of drug abuse, illegally parking (on sidewalk and in a time frame when parking is forbidden), and obstruction of lane way to personal vehicle access. As of now... still no police cruiser. I'm not holding my breath. BNE has a faster response vs a guy that can't focus on the road who could kill someone any minute with his car. Congratulations Belleville Police... mission failed. Next time I'll take care of it myself. Faster and more reliable response time; that's for sure. This is why I drive around with a dash cam in my personal vehicle. When I drive - it records. Don't worry though because it's not enough evidence for them if they do need help with a collision. However any major highway scene collision gladly accepts them. The whole planet had gone downhill... and it's only getting worse. Enjoy! (...and look out...)

They have always been polite and curious when I went in (even when I went to complain about almost being t boned by a cruiser). Nice on the phone. Attended quickly when called after an attempted break in. Even offered to wait while I took my dogs out. That's above and beyond in my opinion.

Rude on the phone. Leave phone on hold for hours and hang up. Inconsistent knowledge for basic questions. Very slow to respond.

Just because my issue was insignificant to them I get hung up on when I'm thanking them for the advice while trying to apologize and wishing a nice day. It's really rude. Even Toronto city police are more courteous than that....
