I've been coming here for a while now. I order a sandwhich at the deli! Ive been there so much nearly every staff at the deli recognizes me and knows what im there for! They all are super kind and talk to me about whatever! Its very common i walk up and before i even say anything i get asked "you here for your sandwich?" Something about being a "regular" customer makes me really happy. I am only 16 but the staff treat me like an adult even though I'm still a kid. Its just a really comfortable place for me to go especially after stressful appointments to get my IGA sub. Its become almost a ritual now. Almost every time i have to go out for appointments i get a sub from IGA! All the staff members are so kind and are so understanding about how i need certain things cut! I have different sensory issues and need things a certain way so i can actually eat it and the staff are very understanding. I 100 percent recommend you should go to IGA and get a custom sub from the deli! Its worth it ^^
Grocery store for poor people who don't realize they're being gouged. It's a waste of time coming here because you'll still have to go to Hannaford after when you can't find 1/3rd of the items on your list, or aren't willing to lower your standards for what they have. No organic or preservative-free options. They price gouge on everything if you compare to Hannaford, especially crackers & chips. Their entire milk section expires 5 days from now. The store is cluttered and cramped. The carts are too big for such narrow aisles, and they don't have a smaller cart option. Customers are visibly irritated maneuvering their carts. Cashiers make no effort to mask their contempt for their job or customers. The grossly overweight pink-haired cashier asked if I found everything I was looking for today, I said No and she just kept scanning items and ignored me. They bark at you if you swipe your credit card before all items are scanned. Trust me.. just don't come here if you have any self-respect.
Many products in wrong spots, Sandwich Dely is very unorganized, Make sure you check your food label. Prices are hit and miss, meat is usually fair . Service is lame, Employees are very unprofessional and complain if you have muti items cart full, Unfortunately I don't think this problem will get any better, Very sad generation has changed, Reveiws seem to be a waste because again the generation or ignorance to want to look professional or be proud of who you are, Today we worry about all the wrong things,
Cashier and grocery bagger were so friendly! And prices here were very good, especially in the meat section! The store is relatively small but had everything we were looking for. Filled a cart for only $106, definitely a good value
I have only shopped at IGA four times, as I am relatively new to the area. The first time I went, I bought oranges that were fresh and orange on the outside, but when my daughter opened one it was completely rotted. I threw them out and dismissed it as a fluke. I let management know about the issue, and they even offered a refund! A few weeks later I bought chicken that, again, appeared fresh upon purchase, but was black and green on the inside. Again, management offered a refund. Since I have only shopped there when necessary, as it is the closest store to me, but I try to stick to preserved goods from them.
Vary high prices I get the world 6 bucks for eggs 7 bucks for 2 bags of chips and chicken well let's say they must have all died and now eggs are the new gold Walmart still doing better then them price wise
Great shopping experience. The produce we got was fresh and the prices very reasonable and competitive. Granted the choice of food is not excessive but I got everything I needed. Their personal was friendly and the packer competent
Customer service is pretty good. Some prices on meats, dairy and produce are higher than I expected but dry goods and canned goods are better than most places right now. Great little mom and pop store overall.
We move to Old Town from Orland a few months back. We have a large farm stand with tons of canned goods, I called about seeing if I could order a pallet of mason jars in bulk pricing and they were more than willing to work with me and within days I had my order in hand! Thank you very much and I'll be back for more large orders along with daily grocery shopping trips!
Insanely low prices! 2 liter Schweppe's ginger ale for 50 cents? A whole cake for $2? A quiche for $4? A meat lover's pizza for $3 and change? The store is clean and the service is friendly. Plus, there usually isn't much of a wait at the registers. This place is excellent for hot and cold fresh food and meals. When the food is close to expiring it goes on sale for 50% off and you can get some insane deals, like a hot meal for $3, a sub for $2, 5 wings for $1.50, or a cup of mini bay scallops for $2!
