We were extremely happy with our room last night . Yes it is a very old motel, however it was very clean and tidy. Loved the king size bed, all linen was spotless and fresh, pillows were sensational . Nice big shower with plenty of hot water.Staff are very welcoming and polite. Would defiantly stay here again, very happy with the pricing.
I honestly don't know why people are complaining. We stayed with at Bell Motel back in January this year and I could not smell any smoke. The rooms were super clean and very spacious. We really enjoyed our time there and will book with them again. Yes it is an older motel but if you want everything up to date then pay more somewhere else. The management were lovely.
Booked a Standard Room which was well below the standard expected. The furnishings were old and room had a musty smell. The kettle was dirty inside and clearly old/well used. The window facing Bell St would not shut and so there was traffic noise all night. The old air conditioner was still in situ while the new one had holes in the wall around the connection to outside plumbing/connection. I had earlier visited the motel to see their rooms which I thought was typical but room I was allocated was not the same standard. It was not renovated. I was told my room was 3.5 stars but I would challenge this. It was disappointing. I noted the pool looked unclean and not maintained. On the upside the staff member replaced the kettle and kindly provided me with a toaster but was unable fix window. The bed linen was of a good standard. A lesson learnt. Always check the lowest standard room in a motel before booking if you can. I paid only $10 less for one night than a renovated Corporate room and the actual difference in quality was way greater. Disappointing and very depressing room and in my opinion over priced for what it was.
The Bell Motel is the most outdated accommodation available. Guest smoking seems to be allowed in rooms as the entire complex smells like an ashtray. The staff are friendly but the rooms did not feel safe, clean or welcoming.Rooms: 1/5
Personal trip to see relatives. This motel was comfortable and convenient for us. Also quiet and fairly close to shops and restaurants. Manager was helpful. Also cleaning staff. This motel decor needs an update but it was clean and serviced evedryday except Sunday. Australia is just out of Covid lockdowns and like every business in Australia is suffering from staff shortages. Despite this I would stay there agian.
Pamela is the nicest Manager you will ever find! We arrived off a 22 hour flight on xmas day, she organised everything so we could get straight in. Super comfy beds, microwave, chocolate and biscuits, tea coffee, a pool, parking, good sized rooms, AMAZING staff... who could ask for more? Plus Novotel across the street also has free pool and more restaurants. Will definitely recommend to everyone.
Booked for two staff members to stay 2 nights, continental breakfast included. Next morning the staff asked where to go, the reception lady said, "Does it look as if there is?" Then after a discussion where given bread, jam and weetpix. To be eaten in their bedroom with no plates.
We have stayed here before and greatly enjoyed our time. On this visit there were several problems with the Hot Water system and damaged to the carpet in the room were in because of water. The breakfast was still not happening because of COVID and it was generally "different" because of new management. The staff were great, very friendly and willing to accommodate our every need in particular the friendly receptionist. Beds were very comfortable. Bell Motel is so close to public transport. We enjoyed our 10 day stay at Bell motor-inn. Its close to trams and a hub of coffee shops. Visit Red Bean Coffee on Plenty St, Preston for a great coffee.... The rooms are a bit dated but clean and very comfortable. Staff and housekeeping are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Rooms come with microwave, kettle and small fridge and If you need a toaster, you just have to ask. If you dont do stairs ask for a room on the ground floor. I'd definitely stay here again because the price is also right!
