Love love love it! I was worried that it might be very crowded and impossible to find a spot when I visited on Labour day long weekend Friday. Surprisingly, it was quite empty. Cooking was allowed with propane gas only and if the grill was places on the picnic table not on the grass. Most tables were empty with maybe one other group doing barbecue. But more people arrived closer to sunset. I wish the little store opened beyond 5 pm so that people can go there to grab an ice cream or snacks after dinner. There is also a nice trail to do a walk which I hope to do next time along with some crabbing. Beautiful amazing picnic area to enjoy the sunset. A bit of a drive to get there from the city, but even the drive was pleasant as it’s in the woods. Makes you feel like you’re going camping.
Had an amazing hike down the trail system!! Very scenic and beautiful trails which eventually leads to the ocean!! Which I enjoyed a tranquil swim!! Highly recommend for the adventurous type!!
I visited Belcarra Park last year, and I was blown away. The park is not only one of the largest in Vancouver, but it is also one of the most beautiful parks in the city. With its flowers, greenery, and picnic areas, it's a breathtaking place to visit. The trails are gorgeous!
This is another one of the most beautiful places in and around Vancouver. This has a lot of picnic areas, fishing areas and so on. There are a number of trails in and around this area. Jug island beach trail is one of them which we did. Given a chance we would definitely go back there.
Such a great place to chill and relax with your closest ones! Went there during Canada Day, it was definitely full of people. I rented the kayak for 2 people which is $55/2hours and it was so worth it
I love this park, great open space with some sheltered picnic tables and the beautiful view and dock.
Nice picnic area with a lot of open grass land that's almost always not too busy.
You have to pay for parking, photos included of the price Such a perfect trail! Not too hard but some parts may make you out of breath! Park in Belcarra Picnic area and walk to the trail head. The view and beach at the end of the trail is perfect. You can also kayak and swim in the water at the picnic area. We kayaked to Jug island aswell as doing the hike. You can rent kayaks there at Takaya. You have to pay for parking anywhere in the regional park! It's free from 7am-10am and then $2 an hour from 10am. Maximum price will be $12 if you stay 6 hours or more : It's so busy here!! Arrive before 9am for a guarantee d spot!
Parking was insane, but it was beautiful and a long weekend, so I kinda expected it. Absolutely beautiful area! Lots of space to picnic, explore, and paddleboard
Very good Park and Beach. Dogs are welcome
