Had dinner here last Friday night, we were 6 adults in total. The place was loud and it was only just under 1/2 full. Service was slow. Our waitress was difficult to understand between her mask and the loudness in the restaurant, so she had to repeat a lot of what she said again. Food was very tasty and hot. Prices were a bit expensive. One person ordered the Blueberry + Kale sale which has 2 blueberries. The fish tacos were very tasty. The salmon rice bowl was very tasty and hardy. The burger was amazing but small for the price. I would try this restaurant again.
The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice. The selection of beer they have is out of this world! Lots to choose from which is really good. The food is just okay. I thought the food was extremely salty. The BBQ brisket burger wasn't too bad but the poutine was extremely salty. However, it's a fairly big portion. I would come back for drinks for sure.
Went here for a birthday dinner with some friends. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their drink menu. When they realised it was for a birthday, they brought out brownie desserts at the end for the two birthday people. The drinks were great. I had the mac and cheese dish, which was delicious, and everyone else enjoyed their food. The IPA sampler was nice if you like IPA beers. The pretzel appetizer is delicious.
Great place to have a beer and food especially during a raptors or leafs game! We were so pleased with the experience and food. The servers so kind and offering us suggestions. We got the warm pretzel and spinach artichoke dishes to start. For the mains - BBQ brisket burger and grilled baja chicken sandwich. All were excellent and we will be coming back for the warm pretzels. Drinks - a flight of beers which all tastes amazing.
I can’t give my experience at Beertown enough stars! Was really happy to get a spot at the bar when stopping before the Jay’s game. Great vibe and design, lots of seating. Serenity was an incredible server and took such great care of us. So many delicious beers on tap as well as cans. Highly recommend a stop for anyone in the city.
Had a great time here! There's an amazing beer selection available and their food was made very well. I enjoyed the nachos and fish tacos, as well as their flatbread. I think they could have been more creative with the incorporation of the avocado but overall really enjoyed the food. The cherry on top was the great service so I definitely would come back again and recommend checking this place out.
Reviewing this in the context of having a lunch during work hours. I'm pretty sure if I came here after a game or to drink with friends it would be a 5/5! Having gone to Waterloo, I've been to the Beertown there tons of times. I didn't even know there was one in Toronto! The menu is basically the same but the interior is nicer. We ordered the fried chicken, brisket burger, and I tried their caesar. I thought the fried chicken was okay, I found that some of the pieces were quite thin so instead of a juicy piece of chicken, the majority of my bite was the fried breading. My boyfriend said the brisket burger was good but nothing too special. I did really enjoy the truffle fries and my drink! I think if we ordered some of the sharables with a larger group, like the keg nachos, we would've enjoyed it more. The price was also more than I am used to, it was $75 for two people. I just don't remember paying that much in university - but everything has gone up, so I'm probably remembering right! With more people to split the bill I think it'd be more reasonable as well. I'll probably come again, just with more friends next time!
Beertown is a hidden gem on the King St. area! We went for beer, cocktails, and dinner to celebrate a birthday and this experience highly surpassed our expectations. Starting with the prices… just wow! Their meals, cocktails, and food are SO properly priced! You can’t get a better price in the city for good quality cocktails, beer, and delicious food. We got two paddles of beer, two cocktails, wonton nachos, truffle fries, and guac and chips, and everything was so good! You can also tell that they care about health and safety which is SO hard to find nowadays. We saw people cleaning and sanitizing the chairs, the tables, most high contact points. Most of the staff wearing masks is nice to see as well! Definitely made us feel so comfortable Shoutout to Stephen, our server, for his amazing energy and vibes! Made our night much more enjoyable! Definitely recommend this place for a good and safe time! Can’t wait to be back.
Visited Beertown Public House on a Wednesday night with a few friends. Made reservations prior to and we were seated right away. Staff was really friendly, our waiter was pretty cool and interactive. Service was fast. Aesthetics of the place were really nice, atmosphere was very fun. I had the plant based pad Thai, which was really delicious menu is very vegetarian/vegan friendly. Price $$-$$$. Will definitely be coming back, highly recommend!
Great energy, menu variety and beers on tap. The Carolina Fried Chicken Sandwich left much to be desired as it was a little/ lot bready but the kale and blueberry salad was great. Perfect location for an after work meal/drink!Recommended dishesCarolina Fried Chicken
