Story

Beck Veterinary Clinic is a small, family-oriented veterinary practice located on the South Side of Edmonton. Dr. Nick Beck is the primary veterinarian, and is a second generation vet. His Mom, Dr. Susan Beck, opened the clinic in 1976.
The Beck Vet clinic has many long-term clients and we are currently welcoming new patients. As a smaller practice, our clients benefit from continuity of care. You won't be shuffled around between personnel. We recognize the important decisions you must make regarding your pet and we commit to providing the best care for your family member.

Our friend suggested Beck Veterinary Clinic based on how well they treated her dog's chronic condition. I'm glad she did! We brought our newly adopted cat for his first visit and I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and friendly the front staff were from the get go we chatted about the benefits of orange cats during my first call. They were also very accommodating when I realized I had left the EHS health records at home, even though it was entirely my fault for being a scatterbrain. Dr. Torkelson was also very friendly and attentive to our questions, which made us feel comfortable. He made a point of telling us that our cat was a good cat which was appreciated! Fitzy's visit was easy and stress free. I would recommend this clinic for your pet's health.
Great Vet Clinic. After moving to a different part of the city, I still bring my dogs here. I’ve tried several other clinics near my house but none of them were good. This one you can trust 100%. Also, staff is very helpful and caring.
We've been taking our cats to Dr Torkelson for years now. I even live closer to a different vet now and I choose to keep going here instead. Dr Torkelson is very knowledgeable and friendly and has an amazing rapport with our cats. You can tell he truly loves animals. The front desk staff is always very nice and easy to talk to.
Awesome vet clinic ! Dr Beck is amazing. My 13 year old dog went in for teeth removal and cleaning. They took such great care of her and she recovered with no issues. I would highly recommend this clinic.
Dr. Beck is like family, he cares like we are all his family. I don't have the words to express how lucky we have experienced his care - our pets are treated with love and respect. We moved away for several years, the moment we were back in town we reconnected with the Beck clinic.
Dr. Torkelson is amazing with our cats and all the staff are very friendly!

We had our first appointment here recently and were so impressed by both the staff and the vet we chatted with. He took the time to explain the risks/benefits of neutering and was very evidence based in his explanation. We’re so happy to have found this great clinic for our pup!
