I had the pleasure of meeting owner manager Nicholas Beck March 28, 2023 at their downtown family business location. I arrived about 20 minutes before closing and he was still willing to do these battery replacements and link shortages. I found this store by googling and the reviews led me to stop in for watch battery replacements as well as links. The positive reviews are so true, Nick and his co-worker are absolutely professional and cordial. I highly recommend this store or the other locations for this family business! I certainly will pass the word on. Whilst there, I as well learned they have auctions online, so you may wish to check out their website and see all they have to offer or give Nick a call - better yet stop in and see what he has to offer you should you need services on their site! I had been quoted at another location the same day before coming to Beck’s - Beck’s quote was $30 higher and they know their stuff. Service was fast, professional and no nonsense. Will come back if I need to sell and to peruse when I have more coin - lots of neat things!

Beck stores operate like a dog and pony show, absolutely no business acumen, integrity or customer service and this includes owner, Clinton Beck, and especially Rose, Mgr West Edmonton Mall! Save yourself some time and aggravation, deal with Edmonton Gold.

I went to Beck to have a watch repaired. They said it was fully repaired, but when I went to go pick it up, two key components weren’t repaired that I had requested. They didn’t charge me after I called attention to it, which I appreciate, and the people at the store are friendly. But overall it was not a great experience and I’m quite disappointed. It’s also worth mentioning that their watchmaker only picks up once a week on Fridays, which adds a lot of unnecessary turnaround time on watch repairs.

I was in today, mostly just wanting to check the location out. They didn't have much for bullion, but they cant be blamed for selling out on what they have, that's their business after all. I did manage to get some silver though, and they have the best rates I've been able to find so far, so I was happy. The gentleman behind the counter, I think his name was Nick, was helpful and made my visit comfortable. I will definitely comeback. I should have asked if it was possible to pay and order some bullion for when they got some in stock, but i did forget. Either way, I do recommend giving them a visit!

Very reasonable prices if you are looking to buy or sell gold. I had two pieces I wanted to sell and they also helped me check the purity and authenticity of 2 other pieces I own without any additional charges. Absolutely a great experience! I was wanting to sell some gold scrap and a few jewelry pieces and had gone to two other places and Beck's was the third. I am fairly familiar with jewelry and pricing and I felt very comfortable. Lily answered all of my questions and provided more information than I had expected. This is a really neat shop that reminds me of the antique stores on Fort Street in Victoria, BC. Beck's staff know their stuff regarding scrap gold purchase, they are very professional during the transaction process, and they offer fair prices. Their jewelry repair service is also excellent.
