This is an interesting course. Played here today for the first time. It's rough around the edges but I paid far less to play than I expected to pay. The greens had just been punched, so the ball bumped its way to the hole. I'd definitely come back. Normally I play at Lochmere at exit 20.
Beaver Meadow was the perfect location for the Frank Monahan Foundation golf tournament. The staff was wonderful, welcoming, and very patient. I’d highly recommend going there. Enjoy the course and the clubhouse!
We planned a private event at Beaver Meadow during the winter season and had an amazing experience! The guests loved using the indoor golf simulator. Jessica and her team were great to work with and helpful during the event. Jessica helped us with the catering and made planning stress-free. I would whole-heartedly recommend this venue!
Nice looking from the road. That's the problem though. On several of the holes the traffic can drive by and honk while you're trying to tee off, putt, or whatever part you're on. One car even cursed at me and my 9 year old daughter. Then to make it worse, she hit a ball in the brush to the left of hole 5 and apparently there was posion ivy. I was fortunate enough to bring that home with me and because of this I haven't been able to work for 5 days now. So I got to pay to lose money. Never coming here again. Do yourself a favor and do the same.
Simply amazing and the weather is much better than last year. This course is awesome! The grounds are kept very nicely. The staff here is great. I look forward to coming here and sharpening my skills!!
We had an amazing time today at Beaver Meadow hosting a charity golf outing for Junior Service League. Jess and Kevin at the 19th Hole Restaurant and Phil, Charlie and Josh at the Pro shop were amazing! We can't wait to do it all again next year! THANK YOU BEAV!
My wife got hit in the face with a ball in flight they gave us ice and a rain check. People who hit her should not have hit the ball. Came back the next day and they were cramping people in. Got paired with a woman that told us how we were gonna play. Walked off the course got my money back. This is the very first time my wife has ever played. They told me they compensated me by giving me a rain check. Never again.
I have played Beaver Meadow many times in the past and it is a nice course. It is a fair layout and is typically in good condition, as it was today. However, we walked off the course with 6 holes to play because they didnt have a ranger out making sure that people kept up their pace of play. On a typical day at Pheasant Ridge, we finish in under 4 hours and often much faster. It took us nearly 4 hours to play 12 holes at Beaver today and, had we stayed, the round would have taken close to 6 hours. When I mentioned the slow pace of play and the need for a ranger to the person in the pro shop when I dropped off the cart key, the only response I got was a nasty look. I may venture back there on a weekday some time in the future but will never play there again on a Saturday. It was painful.
Beautiful course and very enjoyable to play, the 100+ year history made it that much more special for me. For someone who only gets to play here and there I really appreciated the fair prices, nice atmosphere, and gorgeously groomed course. For me it stood out as one of my favorite rounds in recent years. My only reason for 4 stars was the giant underground bees nestsnot sure what they were but they looked like xxl hornets and there were a sh*t load. They covered a large portion of a fairway and had to leave a ball behind because i am not that ballsy pun intended. For me not a large issue at all because I play simply for personal enjoyment and it was only 1 hole. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my 18 holes at beaver meadow and will surely play there again in the future.
We held our son's wedding rehearsal dinner here. Food was excellent, service was top notch, good value. Staff went out of their way to create a lovely atmosphere. We would recommend this location!
