Lovely, cozy spot to grab baked goods and coffee. Incredible service. Highly recommend. The food and coffee are great, the baked goods are beautiful see photos. And the custom-painted murals inside the bakery are absolutely fantastic.
Used to be the best place in town, but now they’re constantly out of stuff. We got served microwaved coffee and hot cocoa from a packet… for what we got I should’ve only paid $2 but instead it was like $6 and also took 10 mins despite it just being us in there… won’t be back again there are other small local places downtown that we’d rather support Editing to add: the young man working was nice and showed us that he just had hot cocoa powder left after we ordered which I said was fine, it’s not his fault what’s stocked and what isn’t. Just wish someone would restore this place to its former glory
Tried an almost tart with ?pâte sablée crust and a hard chocolate top as takeaway and it was good. Would be happy to more selection to try, specifically more savory items but will be back to see what else they create. I don’t think it was a welcoming place but more for take away case items and cakes.
Angel Cream doughnuts are awesome but they only make them once a week IIRC on Saturdays. Only better if it is of the chocolate covered variety. Quiche and breakfast burritos are good too.
Stopped here after a nice run on the trail nearby. They make a great ham & cheese croissant, plus other great treats too! Had to try something else last weekend as I missed the last h&c croissant by 1-person!
For those who are interested – We got married in June 2022, I know, our review is late – but it's better late than never! We wanted to write something helpful considering The North Bend Bakery crew were exactly that themselves. Planning your wedding is super fun, but there are a lot of details to sort out, all for the same day haha. Book the most important things first, and know that the sooner you get your vendors booked the better you’ll feel having one less thing to worry about! We booked with The North Bend Bakery back in July 2021. We had a tasting beforehand, and we recommend doing this to help you decide on flavors. We highly recommend the Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, it is one of the best cakes we’ve ever had. The North Bend Bakery crew was willing to make the trip to the middle of the woods in Easton, WA for our wedding – which is something not everyone will do. The far-out location made planning a challenge for us until we discovered The North Bend Bakery. We absolutely recommend booking with The North Bend Bakery, you will be thrilled you did.
These other customers are right about how rude these employees are, for some reason they don't like there job. They just cant be nice and helpful. Just rude. Why would you have a round like cinnamon maple bacon pinwheel donut one week, then change in to a mini little square donut the next week. Its like your cinnamon rolls too. When they sell good you change it up the following week, and make it different or dont have it. Really strange to also see donuts in display case on individual plates, never seen this in my life except here in north bend bakery. The bad thing for the bakery is when someone comes in and its not there, they get mad, and go elsewhere like QFC bakery. You gotta stick to those items that sell. Also you had cinnamon roll bread, then following week it was apple. Also you dont need that many people helping up front, it can be a lot less, just get friendly and nice employees up front. That will change your sales. Remember also cut your cookie selection down , keep them fresher. Like a new sign by cookies that says fresh made today. Not 5 days ago.
Edit: I just took off a star because I have asked for a plain bagel dog three visits in a row and got one with cream cheese and onions. I stressed to the person helping me that it must be plain and she assured me it was. Unfortunately it was not and it ruined my kid’s breakfast three times in a row. A great local bakery. Good food but the line is frequently out the door on the weekends at breakfast time. Their customer service is inefficient and has some room for improvement.
Yum! Baked on-premises and choices savory and sweet to suit every palate. I had a 3-chocolate cookie for breakfast , took cheese and bacon quiche for lunch on-the-go and a couple of russian tea cakes for a late-afternoon treat. Very friendly and I think I may have been served by Georgia herself.
This is a nice clean bright bakery with a decent collection of baked goods. We shared a selection of pastries and I enjoyed my cup of coffee too. The staff was pleasant and helpful with restaurant recommendations. I recommend The North Bend Bakery.
