This loser at this place ripped me off for $100. Sold me a bicycle that needs over $200 worth of repairs and only disclosed a brake cable that needed replacing. This bike isn't even rideable because the peddles aren't lined up and the pins to adjust are seized. I contacted him to give him an opportunity to rectify the situation and he refused. I was there once before as well and he said he'd take 10% off a tea pot, then after paying for my items, did the math. He never took off the 10%. But I didn't think it was worth going back in for a few bucks so went on with my day begrudgingly. If i could rate this place with zero stars I would!
If price isn’t a concern for you, and you’re looking for random old things for a movie set or a joke gift, there might be something for you here … most of it looks like it was found at a garage sale then priced waaay up .. if you’re bargain hunting, literally anywhere else is better: Habitat for Humanity’s Restore, Too Good to be Threw, Hospital Auxiliary Store in Comox, Courtenay Community Thrift Store .. they’re open on Sundays which is a bonus but better for looking at funny old things and wondering how a place like this stays open than for actually buying stuff.
Had the same experience as many 1 star reviewers. Bought an item off him from FB once home, saw that it was damaged, parts were missing making it unusable. The description said nothing about missing pieces or damage. A few hours after purchase I was told “no refunds”, and that essentially it is my responsibility to check even though Someone else had picked it up for me. Just pure shady business practice. I will not return and discourage others from going there.
Overpriced Records!! Not only that, but I purchased a record because I thought I found one that was reasonably priced, but then got home and realized the record was extremely warped and doesn't play - It's going in the trash. The only reason I didn't give him one star is because he does have a few nice pieces of furniture for sale.
A LOT of stuff, tons of furniture, collectibles, records, cassettes, and trinkets. Furniture painting and refinishing services offered so that's cool, only downside was prices are kinda high little things but what I saw on furniture pieces looked reasonable.
My preferred stop for my preferred paint supplies - Fusion Mineral Paint and brushes.
Lots of items way way over priced. His bicycles are selling as if they were mint, but they are not. I gave him an offer and told him true value, he said go buy it there then. Well I will, thank you. And here is an example. But store is full of stuff, interesting to walk through, then just leave.
Cluttered, over priced, nasty smell, unorganized, dirty, Thier sign says you can make and offer and negotiate but that's faults they dont accept offers. They try to scam you by quoting you a price and when you go to pay via debit the amount is way different, apparently according to them they don't own everything in the store yet try to sell online but dont advertise its consignment Staff are rude and misleading no customer service at all Would not recommend this store to anyone and I definitely wont ever go back If I could give a negative star rate to this place it would get it
Great place great people great place for gifts and all sorts
Way overpriced. 8 bucks for a beanie baby? And the people running it just sorta.... lurked. It also smells real funky. Still has some interesting bawbles, even if extremely pricey.
