Stopped here for a one night stay. Arrived around 5pm and checked in immediately. We were given a room at the Beaver Lodge. We didn't know that our room was one of the 6 rooms or so in the lodge sharing a common seating area. Room a little too tiny for the price we paid. The check-in area as well as restaurants were a 2 - 3 min drive from Beaver Lodge. I think families taking all rooms will have a better experience than having to share with strangers. The area around is beautiful even during this time of the year. It must be even more beautiful during the summer.

I am posting mainly for the food and ambience of this rustic inn and the environs. The service was very good and we enjoyed the simple hamburger and fries as we were on a tight schedule. I did note that the menu’s offerings go the whole gambit from finger food to a complete meal. The hamburger that we ordered was perfect and we were all pleased. Now I wish to comment on the atmosphere. What a dining hall! It is like something out of the early last century. If you want to be carried back to the elegant mountain retreats that Teddy, the rough rider, would have visited this is the place to go. I always feel that the venue is an important part of the meal experience. This is an impressive inn that has survived because it has those qualities that make you wish to experience it again. Go there relax, enjoy the spa, have an enjoyable dinner and stay overnight. You will never forget the place and it has the added bonus of being authentic. Treat yourself and family. There is also the zoo, jungle gym, ice skating rink in season and hiking trails, both relaxing and rigorous, to add to the memories of your visit!
Also a large parking lot is very convenient and I believe there is a fee at the entrance but do not know how much. We visited on Thanksgiving Day so there was not fee. That is why I do not have that information. At the same time the zoo was closed that day and on Christmas Day.

*Went there for a wedding*
Room was okay. Typically would go here to disconnect from technology due to an event or hike but would be nice to still have access to it. TV almost never worked due to signal loss, the WiFi and cellphone service was spotty and slow at the Inn. A little difficult to book the room. Others in my party had trouble keeping their reservations/rooms. Service at the restaurant was extremely slow. Don't come here hungry because it will be a while before any food hits the table. Food was okay but portions seemed a little small to me. Don't expect much from the breakfast either.
Redeeming features were the bar and the surrounding area. Nice views and trails.

I took my family for the hiking trail to the tower... Wow it's was amazing. 100% safe. Fairly intense hike. The view from the top is absolutely amazing. The inn staff was amazing and helpful throughout the park. We weren't able to do everything offered but will definitely be going back.

The service was slow. Staff likes to take their time. Not managed properly. Needs more seating by fireplace. Food was not bad
