ALWAYS A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE!! Been dining in here for years as well as take out during the pandemic. The staff are absolutely wonderful, the food is always delicious, and the price to portion ratio is INCREDIBLE! Best fish & chips I've ever had! The batter was super crispy and not too thick, and the fish inside was hot and fresh. The place was clean, staff were super friendly, portions were generous and food was delicious. I wish I discovered this place sooner. It's a perfect lunch stop in the Niagara wine region. This is place is disgusting not sure why it has 5 star rating no taste soggy its gross if u know food and know fish and chips this is not it! Also forgot our utensils and tartar sauce we. spent 90 bucks on dog food You see this condescending response at the bottom is yet another reason why I gave this honest review your customer service is awful!! I had to drivr back 14 min for “the tartar sauce” which u so wonderfully pointed and thats shredded up fish on my plate. Anyways thanks for your response very mature!
Had the haddock and chips with mushy peas. Food was delicious, not greasy at all! I think I would do the coleslaw next time. Also ordered battered mushrooms and onion rings to start. Good portion of battered mushrooms, expected more onion rings but they were really good. Only wish they had fountain pop, but overall loved my dinner. Place is really clean and staff friendly. Will visit again.
Staff were really nice and everyone were wearing masks because of the global pandemic. The food was really good in the serving sizes are huge! One piece of fish is quite large and I had the haddock. One order of fries is very big and enough for multiple people! The tartar sauce is a bit bigger than the regular plastic bag style so you can order extra but you might not need it because it's quite a large serving. Overall recommended. There was more breading on the fish than I would have expected but it was still good!
I ordered on SkipTheDishes for pickup and the cashier young girl was so confused when I said it was a skip order. She just stood there awkwardly when it was right in front of her the entire time. I’m not kidding she just looked confused for 5 mins while my food got cold right in front of me. Fish was delicious but fries were overcooked and didn’t taste great
Picked up 250$ meal and while the employees kept asking each other if they had everything and people just said “they packed the bags”. Guess I should have opened the stapled closed bags before I left because they forgot 3 large coleslaws 6$ each, and all the utensils and condiments. Over 30 pieces of fish and no tartar sauce!! Worst of all when we call to let them know they told me they gave use a big white bag with it all. They only gave me 3 paper bags. They wouldn’t send a driver out with our remaining food and wanted us to drive back and ruin our Good Friday meal even more. Didn’t even offer a refund. Brutal.
Worth to drive all the way there. The place is clean, the food is great and friendly people. I personally like their battered mushroom and the mashed potato is surprisingly good with the fish as well. I liked their tartar sauce. Overall experience is great. We're definitely coming back to this place.
Such delicious food! I had the fish and it was so light and flakey it almost melts in your mouth. My husband had a double burger and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were also crunchy and delicious! Definitely going back!
Me and my friend were on our way back to Toronto but wanted to stop by somewhere to eat. Thank goodness we found this place and boy was it packed! I could understand why it was!! Probably one of the best fish and chips I've tried. I got Lake Erie Perch which was mild and flaky. Batter was not too thick and they were able to give me half chips and half salad even though our waitress says they usually don't allow it. Coleslaw was good and I just love a good tartar sauce. Yum! Usually I don't finish my fish and chips because it's quite a heavy meal but I finished this one no problem. If I'm around the area, I would definitely come and eat here.
