Beacon Hill Park is near the downtown, easily accessible by walk if you stay somewhere in downtown Victoria. The park is well maintained and you won't feel dangerous while walking around the park. This park would be a perfect spot to take your morning coffee, walk around and get a nice morning breeze. The air quality is so good that you don't want to miss that.nnYou can see Peacocks   on photos of Beacon Hill Park. Don't get disappointed or give up when you don't see them immediately when you enter the park. The park is pretty big and try to go through the middle and you should be able to find them near Beacon Hill Lookout on Google Map.nnThe park also leads to the shoreline where you can take the stairs down to walk around the beach. Depending on your speed, it may take from 1.5 hours to 3 hours to walk around the entire park. But it's worth it.
Perhaps I've seen too little, but this park is the only place I've visited that has free-ranging peacocks. Of course, there are many other interesting wildlife besides peacocks. It's just blissful to hang out in the park and see all the animals and plants.
Such a cool and fun experience. I was so surprised to see peacocks freely roaming! It’s a lovely walking and hiking place and it’s fun to be so close to all the animals that live there !!
Super beautiful. Been here a couple of times I love the petting zoo and how lovely it is with the peacocks too. Saw a few deers too. Would recommend going in spring or summer
I love this park a lot! If you want to take a peaceful break from the daily grind, this park won't disappoint.nThere are ponds, fountains, ducks, geese, swans, peacocks, squirrels, deer and turtles! Green spaces and beautiful fauna and flora abound!nThere are washrooms and playgrounds for the kiddos, and lots of benches for weary accompanying adults.nThe only thing that Beaconhill really lacks is a designated off leash area for dogs thus the loss of one star. That part I don't understand at all.nDowntown Victoria is WOEFULLY lacking in off leash dog parks!!
