Water is always clear and Beach is usually kept pretty clean. Was a great morning for a swim before work. It could possibly be one of the last days I get there before fall sets in :
Everyone from town remembers it as Margie Wards beach. Don't know why the name changed but the beach is nice and it's a little deeper than the others in the area. Not too busy during the week.
It's after Labor Day, so hurry before the water gets too cold!! It's a much smaller beach than City Beach on Lac LaBelle and there is only on-street parking at Bender. City may be better than Bender for younger children because there are public restrooms and a large parking lot. Besides finding parking and crossing a busy street, the porta potty has been removed for the season. The grassy area has a couple of picnic tables. Bring your own water. And, there are a couple of huge steps down to the sand and water. However, once you navigate through that and a field of stones, its a short distance to chest deep water. So, if you enjoy water walking or treading water or swimming laps between the ropes 25 yards?, this is a great place to visit.
Much smaller than City Beach, this is a nice "secret." A charming sandy beach that's great for kids or for those who want less noise. Lifeguards are normally posted from noon to 6 PM and there is a small fee to use the beach. There are bathrooms as well.
This is a very very small beach but it's nice for just a quick dip or playing in the sand. If you come early no one is here. I make videos for YouTube and the spot is perfect in the morning.
Great small little local Oconomowoc beach. It is lifegaurded, but we prefer to go before they get there. There is sand and swim buoys. The beach seemed maintained well. It's seemed like a great little beach hideaway, distant from the crowds.
If i could give this beach a negative number i would! There were MANY people swimming in this beach with NO wrist band and some how me and my sister were selected to be escorted out of the water in front of everyone. One of the girls who was working the fourth of July between 4:30pm to 5:00pm asked if we had wrist bands and when we showed her the others that didn't have wrist bands, she either completely changed the conversation or told us that the people that didn't have wrist bands were there before they arrived. Bender Beach is advertised as a free beach. I demand something be done about that little b**** who rudely and unjustly kicked us out.
Low key beach with great sand. Nice depth for both kids and adults. Pack your picnic baskets and head out for a wonderful day at the beach.
Nice quiet, sandy beach, usually not that busy.
No lifeguard but was a wonderful time. Beach was clean and sandy.
