I stopped in here for a breakfast. The omelette was good. Bacon was just right and cheese added a tasty addition. Mushroom could have been cooked a little longer but that was a personal choice. Staff was friendly and enjoyed the view of Lake and Boulevard as I ate my breakfast. Orange juice was not homemade in house. But overall for the price point it was worth stopping in for.
A couple weeks ago, I ordered an eggs benny crepe to go, and asked if this was possible since it sounded messy... I was assured it was ok. The cook in the back came storming out loudly chastising the poor young ladies at the front about this order being 'to go' and how he has no idea how he's going to make this happen... I was standing right there and continually heard him complain about how ridiculous this order was and it was extremely awkward to the point that I told the ladies in the front I'm okay to cancel it since it seems like a very, very big deal. They maintained it was fine. I got my order a long time later 20 mins? and it was tasty. But wow, what unprofessionalism from the back. The ladies didn't deserve to be treated that way, and he knew full well all of the customers witnessed and heard him complain every time he complained. It was at least 5 separate exclamations of how stupid my order was. Never going back here!
We arrived early in Peachland and we were so glad to find this place to have breakfast. Friendly staff and delicious food! Its was also my first time trying out breakfast crepe. I had Crepe Benny and Veggie Crepe while the husband had the Ultimate breakfast I believe. I love how their hash brown was cooked! Yummy breakfast!
Snapshot: don't go. I get there's a labor shortage...but it seemed like everyone working was in a bad mood. Poor customer service. Not a single smile, "hello", "thanks", "sorry"....nothing. Sticky tables all around that we tried to clean ourselves and somehow they got stickier after using their spray and cloths. Crepes were chewy. Smoothies chunky. "Kids Scrambled Eggs" was half of a scrambled egg in a finger bowl. Bad experience.
The ordering process was good, I like to order and then sit where wish to. Price for value isn't there unfortunately with the food. My husband ordered a burger and I had a BLT. It was highway robbery for what we paid for what it was. The burger he said was terrible and for the price of 24, you'd expect it would be amazing similar to the Butchers Burger at My Boucherie's restaurant 'The Modest Butcher'. It was not... My BLT was so dry and tasteless... Both of our fries with our meals were so fryer soaked and little bits. We will not be back
Just popped in for a coffee but the pastry selection grabbed me and I was forced to buy a simple ham and cheese croissant. Tasty! And I loved the interior design, trendy but comfortable. The view was perfect with the lake across the street and people enjoying the park and the sunshine. A spot like this is worth it to get off the highway and take a break.
Got pasteries, muffins and coffee. Blueberry and peach muffins were awesome. Good coffee as well. We got them to go and enjoyed it on the outside picnic tables by the water.
This placed looked promising, so we decided to go in for lunch. Unfortunately no one greeted us, and we had to ask someone if we were allowed to sit down? No one brought us water, so we had to ask. The table was incredibly sticky, and when my husband asked about it they claimed it was the finishing. I have a hard time believing that as I found jam all over, it was pretty gross. The food wasn't anything to get hyped about either. You guys have a great location. Open up the garage doors and advertise yourselves. Customer service is incredibly important and this place lacks that which is incredibly unfortunate. We understood as soon as we left why all the other restaurants were busy expect this one.
We went for lunch on Sunday of the long weekend. I expected it to be busy, so when the host told me it would be 20 minute wait for food I had no problem with that although there were only 3 tables so I wasn’t sure why it was so long, I didn’t question it having previously worked in the industry. We ordered a ham and Swiss sandwich and a crepe. 45 Minutes later we get food. My crepe was not what I ordered- had balsamic reduction on it instead of a mustard aioli like it was supposed to, and my husbands “Swiss” was anything but. Maybe Kraft singles, maybe cream cheese, but definitely NOT Swiss. We had to go, as we had an appointment, and had already waited 45 minutes for this so we just ate kt. While waiting for our food, the table next to us had their food dumped literally onto them, a full egg Benedict on their lap. No toilet paper or hand towels in bathroom, and when I told the manager I got shrugged off. Needless to say I will never go back and I do NOT recommend anyone else to go. Nice view and that’s where my positive comments end.
Came in this morning and made a custom creation of the eggs benny on a cheese scone. The best breakfast and made for an athlete. They said they'll add this to the menu, so for now I'll call it the Athlete's Benny. I had the mocha with almond milk. Spirit bear coffee is great tasting. Incredible sunrise view of Okanagan Lake right from inside the cafe. Belly is full and happy. Now on my way to run the Golden Ultra 85km trail race.
