I felt kind of upsetting.nI’m come here once or twice a week and they’ve never asked for ID when I’m with my husband.nBut when I went by myself, they insisted I had to show two pieces of ID. I just had only onenOf course, that’s the rule, but the lack of consistency really threw me off. On my way back home to grab my ID, I couldn’t help but think a lot… Was it because I’m an “Asian woman?” Was it “discrimination?” I’ve decided I’m never going there alone again.

The manager Jess or Jessy was incredibly rude and pushy. I was in the store Today at 8pm Wednesday July 23rd. there was one check out with a line around the store I went to the side as I am disabled from vascular issues and can’t stand for too long and I only had a bottle of wine so I asked if I could have it rang up at the side as the women sitting there was ringing up people periodically however the manager came over and immediately started interrogating me. Listen I have a spark card disability card and one for the my car, I am not one to use my disability to get special treatment however today I was in particular pain and with one cashier and a line all around the store I simply couldn’t stand for that long. The manager didn’t care and said I would have to go back in line to the end so I gave him my wine and left the store. I will share this story of the evil and rude “Jessy” to all my friends and promote it on all social media platforms only to see if he is treating many people like this. He should NOT be in the service field. No way no how! BCL on Bute you can do better!

What sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They're friendly, approachable, and have a good knowledge of their stock, ready to give advice or recommendations if you need it.
